stevestojan Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Please go easy on me, but to recruit a college player, it does have to be the offseason correct? I mean, once a player decides to play his senior year, a pro team cannot offer him some loot to quit college and play, correct? This would be in regards to Mike Nugent, K, Ohio St.
Beerball Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 My guess is that as a college player he has to go through the draft process (and get selected or not) before he is free to negotiate with a team. Besides the normal draft there is a supplemental draft held later in the year. He's already missed the supplemental, so he's stuck until the next draft. Why, do you know of a team in search of a kicker?
