ACor58 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 How much do those things cost anyway. I think that it is pretty minor league that we only have one at the Ralph. Do you think that we could have bought another one for the $500,000 signing bonus gave to his boy Gildon?
Campy Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Dang, you want two of them? I'm still excited that it's a higher-res color display! Anyone else remember that old monochrome piece of stevestojan with half the bulbs not working? Terrible!
buckeyemike Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 There should be a second jumbotron. Denver's Invesco Field has THREE. Mike

gantrules Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 All I remember is "Mighty Taco, Mighty Taco".....
Mike32282 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I'm just sick of seeing that moron from Native Pride. His commercials are so cheesy. If I see them one more time, I'm going to scream.
Campy Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Hey-Hey JC Seneca here Put a little pride in your ride at Native Pride
BillsFanNC Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 The #1 thing they could do off the field to better the game day experience for the fans is to get rid of fuggin John Gurtler as the PA announcer. What a major tool that guy is. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: John Gurtler.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 $500,000 Hell, I don't even think that would cover the installation. I'd guess add at least one zero, and maybe multiply by two!

gmac17 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 The old black and white display was classic. They would put up about 2 replays per game, and they seemed to blow out at least 30% of the bulbs when they did it. Probably took up half the compsuting power of WNY to do.... Then they had the super crappy "upgrade" for a year or two. It was color but couldn't do replays Then they added the current jumbotron. Believe it or not, when it was installed it was the largest jumbotron installed in North America.....that was probably 92 or so??
