Wiz Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 I'm watching the game again on tivo and was watching the pass to Gaffney in the fourth quarter. It was one of Carr's few accurate passes and one of the Bills' d few breakdowns. It would have been, by far, the best offensive play of the day. The ball hit Gaffney right in the shoulder and he is 25 yds down field!! When did he plan on turning around? Did he think he was on punt coverage? Did he think he was doing laps around the goalpost as a punishment??
Brack733 Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Carr's reaction was priceless. Complete exasperation. Kinda felt sorry for him for a second.
Rubes Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 My uncle and I were joking at the time that Gaffney was probably just heading for the tunnel by that point.
eSJayDee Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Actually, if he'd have been just a bit more accurate w/ the pass, say a bit more arc and 6-12" up field then the ball had a chance to stick in his facemask so he couldn't help but catch it.
