nodnarb
There are many people out there who want to create controversy for the Bills. Willis will clear this up, if the Bills don't first. It's NOTHING.

billsfanone
I think it's a bunch of BS. If it is, it may actually bring the team together more.
Cobra
We'll know in a day or so! If the Bills don't address this by game time, it will be Bickering Bills again!
Mike32282
It's the reason why Mike Florio needs to get a life. He's not a !@#$ing Bills fan. His site is a piece of stevestojan. I agree with Jeff Morrison. The Dolphins and Rosenhaus started this stevestojan, because they want Willis in Miami.
RuntheDamnBall
I posted this before, but I seriously don't think John Wawrow from the AP would write that he spoke with sources that confirmed this story if he was just following Florio's lead. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle and I wouldn't doubt the possibility of Rosenhaus stirring up some trouble. But the AP generally doesn't screw these things up. Their standards are pretty high and if one of their reporters did such a thing he'd be stevestojan canned in a minute.
RuntheDamnBall
and I loathe the Dolphins, but you guys have been watching a little too much X-Files if you think they started this one. It wasn't the Bills-hating media or opposing teams that started this mess -- DONAHOE did. The media exacerbates the problem, for sure. But no one held a gun to Donahoe's head and told him to draft another starting RB.
macaroni
You have a good point ............ let's put on our "X-files" thinking cap and try to come up with a scenario that may MAY fit the known facts. Willis is drafted low in the first round because the Bills were the only team willing to gamble on his recovery......... and the fans go wild Henry is upset on draft day ....... but seemingly gets over it Rickey Williams retires ........ Morris and Minor look pretty suckified so far Willis recovers .............. and the fans go wild Henry makes off hand comment about maybe being traded if he gets replaced as the starter MM reitterates that T-Hen is the starter for the forseeable future Dolphins play their first preseason game ........ Morris and Minor still suck Willis plays in his first preseason game ........ and the fans go wild Willis makes comment to the effect that if he's not the starter on opening day HE want's to be traded ................ and the fans scratch their heads Let's just suppose .................. somebody from the Dolphins organization covertly contacts Willis (a Miami Hurrican by the way) and promises him the world if he can fanagle his way to get traded and come home to Miami ......... Hmmmmmm ...... could happen ............ I'm not saying it did ...... just saying it COULD. What could be the outcome of this cancer you very well may ask ........ well I'll tell you what could happen ........... the Bills would never NEVER trade Willis, they have too much invested in him ...... he's their BIG gamble ....... they intend to rub every other teams nose in the fact that the Bills are smarter than they are ........ what's going to happen (excuse me ..... what COULD happen) is that the Bills will sucker the Dolphins into taking Travis in this proposed trade ........ how clever of them ....................... but the catch is ................ the Dolphins want Travis in the first place .............. he's a proven starter ....... he has a cheep contract ...... and he's from Florida too. I can see this coming ................ I can feel it in my bones .......... there is something fishy going on here and I don't like it
Buftex
I don't think this is BS at all. It sounds like Drew Rosenhaus at work here. This could get ugly. I always felt the Bills should trade McGahee, sight un-seen, and rake some RB hungry team (not the Dolphins though!) over the coals to get him. Get, say, a good OL, and regain the first round pick we gave up for the right to draft Losman. We already know what Henry can do, McGahee is a still a mystery. Sure, Buffalo might look foolish giving up McGahee if he turns out to be a stud, but they will look even more foolish if they let a RB controversy derail their season. MDH
I always felt the Bills should trade McGahee, sight un-seen, and rake some RB hungry team (not the Dolphins though!) 1384 Trading McGahee isn't even an option. Think about it, why would we spend the 21st pick in the draft so two years later we could get the Dolphins first pick (which may or may not be lower than 21st). If the Dolphins had the 10 pick in next year's draft we'd have moved up 11 spots in the draft by waiting TWO YEARS! That my friend, is not value. A wait of one year generally gives you a 1st round pick in the next years draft if you give up a 2nd round pick this year...you want to wait two years and move up a few spots? It makes no sense. And nobody is giving up more than one 1st rounder for WM. We wait and see if Willis is a superstar, if he is the gamble worked. If he isn't it failed, simple as that. Guest Guest_b.harami98_*
The McGahee rumors, unfortunately, are true. I just seen an interview on Channel 6 in Miami with Drew Rosenhaus. He says Willis is grateful to the Bills for drafting him in the first round and for being gracious in negotiations, but is too good to be a back-up. Obviously, that guy is in on completely the wrong track. 1434 If he traded for Ray Lewis or signed Deion Sanders, it would create buzz. Buzz doesn't mean stevestojan. I want results. I prefer Henry, but ultimately I don't care if Henry or McGahee starts if we win with one of them. I just think we could have been better served drafting in a need position, and yes, Donahoe DID create a RB controversy by drafting another top-notch RB when Henry was performing more than capably. It is his fault. I didn't say he was on the wrong track. But he did create this monster.
