Frez Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 No Progress: The AP is reporting that there is no progress in negotiations for a new long term deal for Nate Clements. His agent told the AP that he plans on meeting with Tom Donahoe on Sunday when he's in town for the game. Both sides of stated that if a deal wasn't done before the season started they would suspend talks until after the season. At this point it appears very likely that Clements will become an unrestricted free agent in 2006.
SACKMARINO Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 thanks for the memories Nate 434113 if he leaves he'll fall flat just like peerless....
AJ1 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 He will join the ranks of ex-Bills who get paid 3 times what they're worth and then shortly fade into oblivion because the teams that meet the salary demands are run by fools. We'll survive.
John from Riverside Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 This is one that we will franchise......
Wiz Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 This is one that we will franchise...... 434132 No doubt about it.
Nanker Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 He'll join Droo in Dallas and the mass migration to become Cowgirl fans will be become the greatest rage to his this board since editorializing on the attributes of Retatta.
Frez Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 Nate is a cut above the rest people. Can't you see it?
Corp000085 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 i see a franchise tag if a deal isn't done
Frez Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 Is Tom Donahoe ready to pay a franchise player for one year?
pkwwjd Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I feel just as good about McGee this year as I did about Nate the year that AWinfield was in his contract year. I'm not confident, but I trust the braintrust to make the right decision. If they feel McGee will make the next step, they'll let NC walk, just like they did with AW.

34-78-83 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Worrying gets old pretty quick. For now, let's enjoy what is hopefully to be another great season from NC!
MadBuffaloDisease Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Is Tom Donahoe ready to pay a franchise player for one year? Doesn't really matter. As long as other teams THINK he will, he's got all the leverage he needs.
