Albany,n.y. Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Texans | Carr Looking to Rebound Mon, 5 Sep 2005 14:38:32 -0700 Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans QB David Carr looked sharp in practice Monday, Sept. 5. He had a horrible preseason finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, posting a 0.0 passer rating. A lot of QBs looked like s**t in preseason. Maybe these young QBs (and some old ones too) really do need a complete gameplan instead of the do nothing to let the opponents see on film game plans of exhibition games. Roethlisberger, Pennington, and even Brett Favre had some rough outings this preseason.
Tom Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Maybe they should go with Petitte or Clemons....
Buftex Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Carr is going to be good. Houston's O-line blows, and has slowed his progress some. He will be fine, particuarly now that he has some legit receiving talent. We should know by now, we can't really judge a team by its' pre-season performances. There are so many variables that effect performance. Give Carr a three or four regular season starts (he has at least earned that) before calling for him to be yanked.
