Yeah, looks like they covered their "depth" areas...2 more OL, another DE and 2 DB's. No WR's.

Seven of the players from last cut and one (Rob Lee) from an earlier cut. 2 DBs, a DE from roster last year, a FB, a LB, 2 OL and a TE. No players cut from other teams.

Nice to see McFarland back, I thought he was actually pretty decent when he did see action.

 

And trust me, Goldsberry WILL be our starting FB whenever Shelton decides to hang it up.

When did the PS rules change? I did not know Ritzmann and MacFarland qualified since they were on the 53 man roster last season (so I thought!)

It doesnt matter if you were on the 53 man roster, it matters whether you were "activated" for at least nine games. Less than nine games and you are still eligible for the PS.

Thanks..I thought it was no more than 2 yrs in the league and not active for 9 games..but I thought they both saw some active time.

I think they wanted to keep an extra guy on the squad, and get Gause on board.

I also realize I'm probably wrong, but it doesn't make any sense to let him go and keep some of these other dudes.
