Thailog80 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Will you please stop putting two t's in my name? 428462 So sorry harri
merlin Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I'm surprised they cut BOTH Trafford and Cieslak .. doesn't that leave them pretty thin at TE (Campbell, Euhus, and Peters in case of emergency?)

He's alright. He's versatile too, he can play a little FB when needed.
cåblelady Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 So sorry harri 428465 That's my nickname.
Thailog80 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Neufeld is still there. He's alright. 428468 Only until Everett is activated. (Hopefully)
Brack733 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I actually thought Jerman played alright in the preseason. McFarland was by far the worse lineman. I'm surprised about Tucker, he's kind of a dirty player though, was hurt a lot, and committed a lot of penalties. They must think Geisinger is alright- he's certainly a lot bigger and stronger than Tucker, upside must have been a factor. Suprised they cut Gause, I thought he was one of the few bright spots yesterday, he'll probably be practice squaded with Eziekial and others.
losman Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 You couldn't be further from the truth. I gave up on Teague, but then last year, and theis year he has been one of our best (if not the best) O-linemen. 428455 Teague is just dissappointing. Too bad Lindell is not on that waive list
Dan Gross Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Musta been the trainer that slipped Ross "Pee-Boy" Tucker on the list....

My guess is that we'll see Ezekiel, Goldsberry, Gause, and Ritzmann definitely show up on the PS if they make it past waivers.
Matt in KC Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 Thin at O-Line, TE, DE Burns sticks? Aiken, Reed, Fast Freddie and Wilson stick (only Haddad cut)? 7 Wide Receivers? I hafta think the competition is simply continuing into the season, or until someone else is signed/returns.
JoeF Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I can't !@#$ing believe JP Losman is still on this roster. What the hell are they thinking... No real shocks--other than 7 wideouts-Tucker has a back injury--that's never a good sign for an offensive lineman. Drew Haddad's cut stems from the fact that he is not a top ranked punt returner on the team--Clements, Parish, Fast Freddie must be better in April's eyes. Aiken is a fiend on special teams. Burns makes it again based on special teams...
Gambler Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 And how did German AND Geisenger make this team? Were they, or were they not, our worst O-Lineman during the preseason? 428430 Can they play DE?
BillsFanForever19 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Can they play DE? 428482 I know this post will be followed with a million "i've heard of him!" posts; but does anyone think that maybe Ritzman AND Gause were cut because we're interested in Hugh Douglas?
bschmoove Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 you should see the fans fuming on teh Eagles messagfe board about cutting Hugh Douglas and Jon Ritchie.
nonprophet Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 So we only have one backup DE on the entire roster? Is TD looking to pick someone up or what? 428461 Notice that Lauvale Sape is still on the roster. Maybe they plan to use him as a DE as well? Did anyone see Sape getting any reps at DE in training camp?
cåblelady Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Whoa. Just got my Bills email announcing the cuts at 6:09 PM. I feel special.
Rico Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 One good sign: Leonhard made the roster. Good job Jim! Steve Tasker, Version 2.0 is set for take-off. 428436 He hasn't officially made it yet, nor have any other players on the bubble... let's see if TD goes after anyone else's cuts first.
Dan III Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Notice that Lauvale Sape is still on the roster. Maybe they plan to use him as a DE as well? Did anyone see Sape getting any reps at DE in training camp? 428495 Sape and Bannan made the team.. 5 DTs.. unless Bannan switches to OL.

Did anyone see Sape getting any reps at DE in training camp? 428495 No, but I did see him run through a line like a beast, block a punt, and jump on it for a TD. Plays like that usually help.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Sape and Bannan made the team.. 5 DTs.. unless Bannan switches to OL. 428501 We have a lot of Guards if Bannan moves over...and only Peters and German as backup OTs...
