Like A Mofo
He has got to think that he is going to get a top 5 pick for that trade for Losman! 29768 Im sure he isnt laughing too hard after watching his team's running game go in the tank and relying on an "Air Vinny" offense to bail them out, and watching his defense get carved up like a fresh turkey right out of the oven on Thanksgiving! I wouldnt want to be with him on that flight home!
RkFast
Fair trades mean boith parties get something of value. If Parcells winds up with a great pick and Losman turns out to be a good QB, its fine by me. He got something, we got something. Fair's fair. Rico
After that Vikings game, I think he's got other things on his mind... We may end up mediocre again, but bottom 5 in the league, no way.
ajzepp
I don't understand why some of you keep bringing up the trade for Losman....Bill Parcells can laugh as much as he wants to, but we won't know who got the better end of the deal until we see what Losman can do. I think a good majority of us are pretty optimistic that the guy is gonna be a pretty solid, exciting player for us. If that is what happens, then who cares if the Cowboys get a top 15 pick? He has alot more worries with that Geritol Crew he calls a team.
jad1
Parcells gave up Steven Jackson to make that trade. Jackson was the leading rusher in preseason and had 50 yards backing up Faulk yesterday. You think Cowboy fans are all screaming "Great trade Bill, we're looking forward to that pick NEXT YEAR?" Hell no. The Cowboys needed a difference maker at RB and Parcells decided to pack away draft picks instead of grabbing Jackson. If the Cowboys continue to rely on 41 year old Vinny to throw for 300 yards to stay in games, the Dallas fans are going to ROAST Parcells for this trade. As people on the board like to say, it's a win NOW league.
sfladave
He has got to think that he is going to get a top 5 pick for that trade for Losman! 29768 After Dallas' performance yesterday the only thing Parcells is doing today is pounding his fist into the wall while screaming bloody muder. A top 5 pick???? Do you really think that we will have a worse record than last year?
zevo
jp losman would be a top 10 pick in this years draft. Why must this topic be brought up?
Indy Dave
It's all about perspective. If you look at it from the standpoint that Lee Evans was our first-round pick in 2004 and JP Losman is our first-round pick for 2005 (with a year's worth of learning and some practice under his belt), then things aren't so bad. Now in five years if Losman is out of the league or carrying a clipboard, and Dallas' pick is the league's MVP, we can all B word about it then. So actually the pressure on that pick is magnified now. Not to say they wont get a real good Player, but the Jackson thing puts a different spin on it... Bear
As of right now we are tied for the 1st pick with 14 other teams in the league. Including Dallas. I'm sure after his loss yesterday he was laughing all the way home. Must have been great to look at the end of the season after one game.
Mark VI
The Dallas media has not been kind to Parcells for settling on Jones from ND in Round 2. Jackson is a much better RB. The QB class of 2005 doesn't seem to have anyone of Losmans talent level. It's all how you look at it. I'm happy Losman is here. He'll be healthy in November and is learning to be our future starter. He may be the future, passionate spark this current team is sorely lacking.

1billsfan
If you knew anything about Parcels, he's not in Dallas for the long term. In other words, he'll be out the door before the benefits of next year's first rounder are harvested. BTW, ONE FREAKIN GAME AND WE'RE GOING TO FINISH BOTTOM FIVE IN THE LEAGUE??????? Wow, step away from the bong brother.
Alaska Darin
So what? The draft is an absolute crapshoot and the amount of money spent on a pick that high is rarely worth it for at least the first season. I wish TD could trade every first round pick for multiple lower round picks and use the savings to sign proven veteran contributors like London Fletcher.
