USMCBillsFan Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 What's up all? I got here safely and have started kicking a$$ already. Tomorrow I'm going out to make a solatia (condolence) payment and the area is pretty hostile. I'll have 8 Army gun trucks escorting me. I'm pretty pumped. Should be a good time. Well keep the info flying. This is my main link to Bills info and it's pretty hit and miss as far as getting in here. Later all and Go Bills!! Rob

USMCBillsFan Posted September 2, 2005 Author Posted September 2, 2005 Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I don't want it to sound like I'm looking for a fire fight but I have to admit it's pretty exciting. All the training I've had I'm ready but hopefully it'll go off without a hitch. We've already been shelled twice here at the camp in the two days I've been here. Pretty sobering when you hear rounds exploding close to where you lay your head at night.
theesir Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Best of Luck.... Could anyone explain what a "Solacia Payment" is?
PTS Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Good luck, stay safe and kick some ass! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your team all the way.
VABills Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Semper Fi buddy. But couldn't you get Marines to guard your 6? No offense Army guys, but......
