EZC-Boston Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I have been thinking about that for a long time, I'm surprised it took so long for someone to bring that up...
BRH Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I have been thinking about that for a long time, I'm surprised it took so long for someone to bring that up... 425936 What about Katrina and the Waves?
Reuben Gant Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I saw on CNN that that song will not be played in Canada until this is over.

SilverNRed Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I saw on CNN that that song will not be played in Canada until this is over. 425956 Would Canadians willingly give up the Tragically Hip even for a little while??
smokinandjokin Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 What about Katrina and the Waves? 425952 Not funny and hilarious at the same time.
Snorom Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 That song has been in my head the whole time. Can't help but ponder the irony of the lyrics to the reality of the situation
buckeyemike Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 What about Katrina and the Waves? 425952 If I knew then what I know now... Hindsight's always 20-20, and I regret this one now. Mike

Marv Levy Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Guess what hipsters, although this song sounds literal to flooding its actually about a submarine that is going to sink. I have a bootleg where Gordie says "This song is about my favorite submarine". You can also hear it in the lyrics. Its eerie though how it relates to this horrible disaster. Also, "New Orleans is Beat" off the latest In Between Evolution.
jarthur31 Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 What's scary is people plan on moving back and hoping this doesn't repeat itself.
bdelma Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 The chick went who are they. She had no clue. The chick with British accent knew of them.
