aussiew Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I like them on the main forum. Variety.... Besides - they don't come up very often once training camp starts.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I'm all for it. I think it's a good idea
eSJayDee Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I'm sorta of the mind of HopsGuy, but I don't know how practical/feasible that is. As others have mentioned, there's plenty of places on the net if you want to look at pics of hot women (or probably even pandas, if you're into that kinda stuff). Personally, I think much of what makes this a close communtity is the OT/LAMP stuff. Provided it doesn't get out of hand, I think it adds to the experience. I don't know specifically about everyone's surfing habits, but it seems that a significant %age of our posters are here on & off all day during Eastern time 'work hours'. I think what I propose is like is to have everything go on the main board, then after 3 or 4 hours get migrated to the appropriate subforum. I'm assuming that would need to be done 'manually'. Is that too much of a burden on our moderators? BTW, let me take this opportunity to thank you & the others that help maintain this board for giving me (& us) this venue to enjoy.

Kidding...I kid! me I'd need an easy button.
stuckincincy Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I was wondering if a "Ladies Lounge" forum (tucked out of the way at the bottom of the Special Topics category would be of interest to you'inz. Oogling babes is a favorite past time here at TSW and perhaps it is time have a place dedicated to the finer gender... http://www.Finheaven.com has one on their boards and it seems to be well behaved. Standard rules of decorum would still apply. Please send your feedback via this thread or via PM if you choose a more private venue. Thanks. 425505 NO.
Dan Gross Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I have in the past stood by having a separate "Entertainment" forum, for TV shows, movies, music, video game, babes (since most pictures and stuff that show up are "pop culture" types). As much as I appreciate the female form, I'd say that there isn't really enough posts on the subject to support a separate forum (and I'm a Consumer Forum mod ).

A Pop Culture forum is very interesting, although many females in the Ladies Lounge would only be known for their assets and not their place in pop culture.
Tux of Borg Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 You can thank BF for the success of the baseball forum.

todd Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 just to be clear - we ain't talking porn. I'm talking about having a place to put the threads that occur everyday on TSW and have since the day we opened. I'm not talking about changing any standards - just moving those threads off the main board. 425521 I see your point, but I think something like that might encourage it.
SDS Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 I see your point, but I think something like that might encourage it. 425709 encourage it where? the main forum or the subforum? I would think their would be lots of activity in the subforum - is that bad?
Ramius Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 IMO, too many subforums takes the fun out of the board...when you need to go to 8 different places, thats not much fun, especially when you may only have a bit of time. I like the variety the mian board produces so you can see a good mix of topics, and learn somethings about posters...and anyways in a week or so, the board will be back to 95% bills related posts about how JP sucks, JP is God, we shoulda kept drew, willis is gonna holdout, etc...
Thailog80 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Nice cover! Maybe the question should be to the ladies who grace the board. Would they prefer that all the rutting about was done away from the main board? 425593 Beerball wants a CWD area........sicko!
todd Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 encourage it where? the main forum or the subforum? I would think their would be lots of activity in the subforum - is that bad? 425710 Subforum, I guess. I was just thinking that since it's a family board, you wouldn't want a bunch of 12-year-old boys whacking it in that forum. Of course, if you need a moderator I volunteer. I could do my best to review all content daily.
Beerball Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Beerball wants a CWD area........sicko! 425717 OK, I admit it, I can't figure this one out.
drnykterstein Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I vote against it. Its so anti family values. And entertainment forum might be ok. Then I would have less OT posts to ignore.
jarthur31 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I thought all those OT threads were moved to another forum regardless?
bobblehead Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I think there is room here at TBD for a Goon Room. Chicks, cars, ultimate fighting, sh-- like that. I also second Todd for moderator.
rockpile Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I am not in favor of it, but do not care enough to vote no. I will probably not visit there.
