If you consider Utah a country, I think you need some help

You said governments. Way to follow through on your statements. Why don't you just revise your statement to the following:

"If you exclude non-Islamic governments, Islam is the only religion that controls entire governments."

The correct point is made that all modern theocracies are Islamic.

In fact, they even have a league of self-professed Islamic countries.

When challenged to come up with theocracy based on another religion,

the best any one can come of is the Vatican (which really isn't a country, no army, no olympic team etc)

and the mandatory swipes at Christians ( and Mormons) by listing Utah and "Red" states as countries.

But of course, Christians, and their self-center charity work that helps anybody who needs regardless of what religion they are,

are great targets for the moral relativists in the crowd.

Another question for you, have you ever heard of an Islamic charity sending aid and workers to areas that weren't populated by Muslims?

The Salvation army helps who ever needs it, they don't ask if your are Christian before they give you a hot meal.

Plus, they end up getting killed for the kind acts as well

Seven Christian Welfare Workers Killed in Karachi Shooting

Suspected Islamic militants entered the offices of a Christian charity organization in the Pakistani city of Karachi, and shot seven people dead. An eighth man was critically injured, and an office assistant was beaten.

Workers were tied up and gagged

Police said two gunmen armed with pistols entered the office of the Idare-e Amn-O-Insaf, or the Institute for Peace and Justice, at around 9:00 am local time. They tied the workers to chairs, put tape over their mouths and shot them in the head at point blank range.

Karachi Police Chief Kamal Shah said police found eight empty shell casings, one for each of those shot. He said five of the dead were found seated in a main room at the office, and the sixth was tied to a chair in the bathroom. Six of the victims were killed outright and a seventh later died in hospital.

An eight man was hospitalized in critical condition. Doctors said that he faced permanent paralysis of his left side from a head wound. All seven of those shot were Pakistani Christians.

A ninth man -- an office assistant -- was beaten by the assailants but was not shot. Karachi's police chief said that investigators had tried to question the man but that he fainted and was placed on medication. Shah said that the police are attempting to determine how the gunmen got into the office, which had an electronic door that could only be opened from the inside.

The attackers apparently left the scene without arousing the suspicions of people in adjoining offices, and the carnage was only discovered an hour later when one of the charity employees arrived at work. A doctor whose offices are next door to the charity said that he saw the gunmen. "They were wearing shirts and trousers and were clean shaven," he said.

A senior police official quoted by AFP said that the attack was "meticulously executed," and appeared to have been well planned. "They knew how many people were inside and they knew the layout of the office," he said.

Charity provided aid to both Christians and Muslims

Idare-e Amn-O-Insaf is a welfare organization supported by both Protestant and Catholic churches. The Institute has been in operation for 30 years, working with poor Christian and Muslims to press for worker's rights, and organizing programs with local human rights groups.

The Institute's offices, which are unmarked, are on the third floor of Rimpa Plaza, a 12-storey block in downtown Karachi. The organization, which subsists on donations from Christians and private individuals publishes a magazine called "Jafakash" (Hard Worker) dealing with human rights and labor issues. The organization employs Muslims as well as Christians.

Quote from the article titled "World responds to Katrina with compassion — mostly"

Islamic extremists rejoiced in America's misfortune, giving the storm a military rank and declaring in Internet chatter that "Private" Katrina had joined the global jihad, or holy war. With "God's help," they declared, oil prices would hit $100 a barrel this year.

Nice compassion. Azzholes!!

There you go. My point made crystal clear.

Wonder if they thought the Tsunami and the Iran Earthquake were part of the "Global Jihad"??

If the Islamic world was to demonstrate compassion,

what kind of demonstration would satisfy you?

424757[/snapback]

You're not holding your breath for an answer I hope. Because if the Islamic world were to prostrate itself at our feet that wouldn't be good enough for some people. They'd just take the opportunity to kick it in the teeth.

This discussion has gotten as bad as the one on the TBD board where morons are blaming the people who stayed behind for their own plight. If you look at most of them you'd realize they couldn't exactly jump in their late-model vehicles and motor on up North for an extended stay at the Ritz-Carlton. Most stayed because they had no choice....

Some people are just mean, negative and downright evil. Muslim AND Christian, both.

A call from the leaders of Indonesia maybe? After all the help we gave them it would be nice gesture.

At this point I would settle for a lack of gloating about it.

It's not JUST the Islamic world that lacks compassion in this case.  Link

You didn't have to go that far to see it. Look at the "official" thread on the Wall. There are quite a few a-holes blaming the folks who couldn't leave for their troubles, calling them idiots, morons and jerk who deserve their fate.

...and the Christian world is guaranteed to be much better, I suppose....?  :D

Hey JSP- I saw some video of the looters and people shooting at the helicopters. They all were dark-skinned and some had their heads covered. Islamic terrorists all, no doubt.
