Smoker2Buffalo Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 I find it VERY hard to believe that Willis would want a trade if he doesn't start as a rookie! If he honestly thought that we would come in and start right away, he's being completely irrational. Who is this anonymous source anyways?
IDBillzFan Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 When you think back to when he was drafted, and how thankful he was that the Bills took a chance on him...and that he has repeatedly said he understands his role in the scheme of things, I can't help but think that this is a bunch of crap. The only thing worse than this is watching people overreact to it.
Cobra Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 If it was just Willis, I'd say BS! Add his scumbag agent, and I think it might be true!
daquix Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 I believe it for 1 season: IF HE DOESNT PLAY HE DOESNT GET THE MOENY! The contract money is based off of incentives - he wants the money and that means he has to play!
billsfanone Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 I don't believe it. I think the media has a hard on for creating a controversy.

Given his awareness of and maturity approaching the seriousness of his injury and rehab, it boggles the mind that he should suddenly decide that he wants to grab the brass ring NOW at the possible risk of his whole career, rather than test the knee in a more limited role for a season and compete for the #1 spot next year. Plus, my impression of him has always been of a competitor who's willing to fight and work for and ultimately earn what he wants. Not of someone who needs to acquire what he wants through ultimatums.
Guest Guest Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 "Source": Use the word "sourse", throw some fabricated BS behind it and print it or post it. Hopefully we don't see Willis saying it, but even that isn't as bad as it seems. The problem is that there are far too many sport reporters out there and they are desperate to seperate themselves. That and the parasites wispering into a man-child's ears..."you are better than Travis Henry, You should be the starter". God forbid that kid read some of the idiotic posts on this site that say the same thing.
BILLS4LIFE Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 I dont know what to believe. The same time I got online and was watching the 10 pm news,I first heard of this. I want to hear this from Willis himself, not 20 different threads here and I havent seen any links, either.
