Blue Chipper Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 How can you respect a guy when it took him two seasons to realize he actually had to put some effort into his job? 422135 I guess respect was not the right word. My point was he realized that you cant live off of reputation alone. Most players who have one good season then sign a big deal never figure this out.

OnTheRocks Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 McNabb to Peerless Price. That could be a very deadly combo. 422143 i agree with this....especially with TO lined up at the other end....and Westbrook coming out of the backfield or lining up in the slot....my goodness....Lights out!
grabowr30045 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 where did you get this information? It would be a big hit against the Falcons cap to let him go. I think your sources are bad.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 yeah I haven't seen this listed anywhere not at espn or kffl, whats your source?
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 McNabb to Peerless Price. That could be a very deadly combo. 422143 Especially with Owens drawing double coverage like Moulds used to for Price.
MDH Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 You'd think that Atlanta would almost hang on to him, if they absolutely couldn't trade him for a bag of tape, just to keep him away from their conference rivals that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. 422097 If Price isn't good enough to crack their starting lineup why would they be worried about his impact for another team?
dave mcbride Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Yep. They have all the other pieces, if it happens. He'd have to clear waivers past 3 other teams and then NE. If you pick a player off of waivers, you own up to his current contract with the club that released him. Unless they are willing to pay him his contract $$$. 422087 he's a perfect fit in philly, actually. moulds and owens come from the same mold, and philly throws more than it runs. in that sense, it's a lot like buffalo circa 2002. if philly signs him, it looks like they get the best deal of all!
MadBuffaloDisease Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I'd be surprised if Peerless signed anywhere but Philly (although if it WERE somewhere else, I wouldn't be surprised if it were Buffalo). They have a need, they have money, Price would definitely be #2, and he could help them get to, and win, a SB.
bobblehead Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 McNabb to Peerless Price. That could be a very deadly combo. 422143 TO and Price together. I feel sorry for Donovan, though. He is going to have to start taking pills.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 TO and Price together. I feel sorry for Donovan, though. He is going to have to start taking pills. 422286 Nah, come on...he put up with Freddie Mitchell for the last few years...dealing with Peerless Price would strangely be a vacation to McNabb

Smoker2Buffalo Posted August 30, 2005 Author Posted August 30, 2005 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=roto...owire&type=lgns So maybe it's more speculation than fact.
pkwwjd Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Mcgahee for Price 422092 Plus the trade freed up enough money to sign Spikes Price = McGahee + Spikes ... That is TD's strongest point
Smoker2Buffalo Posted August 30, 2005 Author Posted August 30, 2005 It's official. Falcons cut Price Wide receiver was entering third year of $37.5M deal By CHRIS VIVLAMORE The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 08/30/05 The Falcons and Peerless Price are through. The team cut Price Tuesday on a day when NFL rosters had to be trimmed to 65. The wide receiver, who never lived up to expectations, was entering the third year of a $37.5 million contract with the team. Price lost his starting job at the start of training camp. He suffered a concussion two weeks ago in an exhibition loss to Tennessee and just returned to practice Monday. In two years with the Falcons, he had 109 catches for 1,413 yards and six touchdowns.

Thailog80 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Wow! 422719 I guess Peerless has plenty of equals or greater thans.
ch19079 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 anyone think its more M. Vicks fault, and NOT P. Price's fault??? i do. but a team WILL give him a job. (but at a slightly less money).
