Dawgg Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 I'm sick and tired of talking about the Jax game, it makes me sick to my stomach. There is no one scapegoat no matter how you slice and dice it. Clements error wouldn't have been a big deal had Moulds not fumbled or if the offense converted from the 3 yard line. The real question is: Can this team regroup and beat Oakland? How do you think we match up against them??? I'll be at the game. Holla
stevestojan Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 this is where coaching is key. If you dont treat this right, the players may lose all their "gusto" due to this loss. But, play your cards right, and use it as a motivational tool, and who knows.
Zamboni Man Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 I think we can beat them if we can get the ground game going. It's really going to depend on getting the run going, putting up some points and the offensive line pushing Big Ted and Big Mouth around up front.
gantrules Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Yes, as long as we score more points than the Raiders we will win.
Dawgg Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 Yes, as long as we score more points than the Raiders we will win. 29337 Wonderful insight.
gantrules Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 well, it's the truth isn't it? Sorry I get a little quirky this time of the day.
USMCBillsFan Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 We WILL win next week. Bills 31 Raiders 23.......... You heard it here first.
John from Riverside Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 I dont think the Raiders defense is anywhere near as good as the jags.....Ted Washington is old and slow and Sapp is not a run stopper........ But it will be interesting to see how they play on the road
UB2SF Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 I'll be at the game, too, Dawgg. In direct response to your question, yes, the Bills absolutely can beat the Raiders. Whether we will or not, though? I think the keys will be the play of our safeties and our O-Line.
Engineer1 Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Yes, as long as we score more points than the Raiders we will win. 29337 BEAUTIFUL

Holla 29311 As said in the preseason, if the offense can manage to score 17 points a game there's no reason we can't win every game this season. Oakland has two good cover CBs in Woodson and Buchannon and with BIG TED in the middle might have a good rushing defense which could spell troubles for the offense. If we're going to win Bledsoe needs to gain some faith with throwing to guys other then Eric Moulds or else it could be a long season.

The Steelers didn't seem to have a problem finding open receivers......
jarthur31 Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 LOL, if we can't win games at home, we have no chance on the road. I think we will win 5 games but this isn't one of them!

Looking at both rosters I think we have a better defense and a better running game. However, it is the Raiders home opener and they are 0-1 just like us. It has all the makings for a very good game. The Bills do have a knack for winning these type of games (when you least expect a road win). I just hope our players and coaching staff can become smarter in a weeks time.
