he doesn't need practice. he's been returning punts for a couple years now, and im sure he is plenty comfortable with it. why risk injury having him return in a preseason game? also i'd think we would want to see who else can do a good job as maybe it would factor in a decision of who to keep in a close battle for a roster spot.

Everyone I'm watching with thought the same thing. This guy is a franchise player... let's play "smear the queer" with him (basically what returning kicks is like)..... good idea Mularky :D

but why the &%*$ is Nate Clements returning punts. Particularly in the pre-season.

1. We can't afford to lose him to injury.

2. He fumbles all the time..

The Bills won't resign him next year, so why not use him.

It was obvious to us that he needed some work in this area (yes even though he's done it before). We felt that after the fumble it was` kind of a punishment sort of thing.. :D

You could ask the same question as to why our entire starting offense and defense was playing into the 3rd quarter tonight. We could have last any number of our starters to injury tonight. I'm glad this game is over, and I hope we see very little playing time from our starters against Detroit.

Two words - Jason Sehorn!

With all the return guys on this team, Nate should be migrated off of this job.
