dave mcbride Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 every year, before each season, you just know it: certain teams haven't a ghost of a chance of being good. every once in a while you're wrong -- for instance, i thought the pats would be really bad in 2001. sometimes, it's based upon ineptitude the previous season, and sometimes it's a result of what happened between the end of the last season and the one about to begin. without going into too much detail, here are my picks for teams that will end up 5-11 or worse: Chicago SF NY Giants KC Jacksonville Cleveland Washington Atlanta (they've been terrible every other year since 1997, and i think the jig is up for vick) that's probably one or two too many, but all the same these are the teams that i think are in bad shape heading into the season.
Webster Guy Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Friendly bet: 2 of those teams will make the playoffs... which 2? I don't know, but at least 2 of them will.
Albany,n.y. Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 You left out the team that will finish 2-14 MIAMI DOLPHINS
Albany,n.y. Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Friendly bet: 2 of those teams will make the playoffs... which 2? I don't know, but at least 2 of them will. 418706 KC, Jax, Atl -all playoff contenders-pick from these 3.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Over the last five years, on average there are 7 teams that finish 5-11 or worse per year. So I'll pick seven teams for 2005 that'll finish 5-11 or worse. They are: Miami San Francisco Cleveland Chicago San Diego (I got a feeling they are going to drop BIG TIME) Dallas New Orleans (this team has the potential to be the worst in the NFL...there is no leadership on that squad at all)
Tux of Borg Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 You left out the team that will finish 2-14 MIAMI DOLPHINS 418709 I thought that was a given.
MrLocke Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I might be wrong, but I don't think anybody said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would finish 5-11 or worse. I think it is a strong possibility.
/dev/null Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 AFC East: Miami AFC Norh: Cleveland , Cincinnati NFC East: Dallas, Giants NFC North: Chicago NFC South: Atlanta, Tampa NFC West: San Fran

Miami Cleveland San Francisco Chicago New York Giants
eball Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Ducking. The Bills 418746 that is one HUGE !@#$ing surprise.
Mark Vader Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Here are my predictions: Miami:Although they will not be as bad as last year, could even be 6-10, i'm not joking. Cleveland:Still too many holes. Tennessee:They have McNair, and that's it. Washington:Still not good enough. Chicago:Offense is terrible. Tampa Bay:Defense is weak. Seattle:Look for a big letdown. Bye-Bye Holmgren. San Francisco:Obvious choice because they are rebuilding. Overall I see the Browns, Bears and Titans fighting for the draft rights to Matt Leinart.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 that is one HUGE !@#$ing surprise. 418825 Not from VA it isnt...lately he's been downright Rudyish.
drnykterstein Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Chicago SF Miami Browns Packers Rams Raiders
Buffal0 Bill5 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 One that hasn't been mentioned that I don't ever trust to get their act together Arizona
Mark Vader Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Buffal0 Bill5 Posted Today, 11:53 PM One that hasn't been mentioned that I don't ever trust to get their act together Arizona I think Arizona will be a good team. The NFC West is so weak, that they could win it. Green has the Cardinals going in the right direction.
Stussy109 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Dallas, NYG, MIA, Chicago, Cleveland, Arizona all finish under 7-9
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 DO NOT REMEMBER THE TITANS! How did most of you forget them?

Oline issues still questions on dline still don't trust Mcgee at corner question at TE still raw, young Qb If we win more then 6 games, I will be very happy with the team, and our progress. We do however have a good overall defense, good special teams, and good WR's.
