Marv Levy
Saw him in the annoucers booth during a preseason contest. Just wondering if he retired. He was a beast, but stunk in Dallas correct? I know he had a knee problem though. Man, RB's last what, 3 yrs avg?! Thanks, Marv
Buftex
I had heard he was going to do a one day deal with the Titans, and retire...although I never actually saw any coverage of the PC anywhere. He had wanted to come back and play another year, but only for the Titans. They were not interested.
envirojeff
For what it's worth, he was doing the color for the Titans game this past weekend. Jeff
stuckincincy
He's no longer listed in nfl.com's active player database. Good luck to him; he was one tough player.

I think the wear and tear of being a RB for that long has caught up with him.

Spun
If this is the end for Eddie George, he can hold his head high. He had a very nice go. Career stats: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/GeorEd00.htm

But it just seems these guys take such a beating that 3 yrs is a long avg. Anyway, thanks everyone for the contributions on this thread. He was a good back. smokinandjokin
Eddie George is alive? It reminds of the scene in Major League when the B word owner gives the Indians spring training roster to the GM/scouts. "This guy here is dead." "Cross him off, then." classic
