i think the ravens defense is really the best in the NFL. and with there RB, TE, and new WRs, there offense CAN be good. the only problem is that boller is not that good.

the bills have a very good D, but not as good as the ravens. we have better WRs, but they got us beat at TE, and RB. (i REALLY like McGahee, but Lewis is still better untill McGahee gets his 1800 yards in a season).

and then there is JP. noone knows. he could suck. he could be good. but in his first season as the starter, who knows. you have to expect problems. atleast boller has a few years under his belt. he MIGHT make fewer mistakes. (though i dont think so).

i understand what they are saying. and see where its comming from.

Yeah, aside from the fact that the Bills allowed fewer yards last season than the Ravens, and forced more turnovers and had more sacks, the Ravens defense was head and shoulders better than the Bills D.

Here is my main problem with Kyle Boller.  Young QBs struggle at times, thats expected...but the Ravens have been using that "Oh, he's young...give him time" excuse about as much as we did with Rob Johnson a few years ago.

Yeah the young QBs of the NFL do struggle, but you also see flashes of solid play sprinkled in their game as well.  Guys like Leftwich, Palmer and Manning...they may struggle at times, but they at least demonstrate a grasp of the game and show what they will be capable of in the future.  Hell, even Losman and Phillip Rivers have shown flashes of being good QBs and they've hardly played.

Boller has not shown anything...ANYTHING that makes me think he will be a solid NFL starter.  His play has ranged from "average" to "pathetic" in his career and I see no signs of him getting better.

You're wrong dude! Last year, he picked apart our defense and we made him look an All-Pro.

Thank you! Losing that game has sh-- to do with Kyle Boller we lost because of

7 bal | 20 36 203 0 4

The swing pass to deion sanders for a td  was one of the worst passes ever. That's another game we "could've" won if not for turnovers by our quaterback last year.

I'm not high on Boller either but to say he has not shown anything is a discredit to him. As looking at his career game log I see a game last season where he was 18-34 for 219 yards and 4 TDs. While it was only 1 game that does show some flashes IMHO. Not to mention Baltimore hasn't been a hot bed for talented WRs since Boller was drafted. Allso his best receiving threat (Todd Heap) was only healthy for 6 games last season. As I said in the Brady thread a QB in my eyes in only as good as the talent around him and to be honest outside the LT, RB and TE the last two seasons in Balitmore there hasn't much talent at the offensive side of the ball there. Granted this could be Boller's final year to prove himself.
