richNjoisy
Sure they do. And why? Because the Bills have "A huge question mark with JP Losman at QB" I see. stuckincincy
Their 2nd rounder, DE Dan Cody, suffered a severe knee twist. I don't understand their faith in Boller. He's like Barney Fife in a football uniform.

Blue Chipper
Boller is in the perfect situation and needs to perform this year. He has a good D, a good in Lewis, a good te in Heap (if healthy) and some decent wideouts. They dafted Clayton and picked up Mason. If he stuggles this year he has no excuse. I think Buffalo's team is similar in many ways -except the te position. But to say that Boller is better than JP at this point is crazy. The jury is still out on both of em. This reminds me of a friend trying to get Bill Cosby to smoke pot. "Bill, cmon try it! It will bring out the real you". "yeh" Bill replied, "But what if the real you is an !@#$?" Boller MUST be better since he has experience and JP doesn't. Get it? ****** RichNJoisy Hammer's Lot - 9/11/05 - CNJBBB wings - Be There! who's ready to eat hot wings at 8 am? MartyBall4Buffalo
Kyle Boller will never be a good quaterback Never ever ever. His pocket presence is brutal, and I for one have never seen this "strong" arm of his in game situations. He throws some of the worst passes even when he's not under pressure. The Ravens will be lucky to break .500 with Kyle Boller at qb.

BillsGuyInMalta
Here is my main problem with Kyle Boller. Young QBs struggle at times, thats expected...but the Ravens have been using that "Oh, he's young...give him time" excuse about as much as we did with Rob Johnson a few years ago. Yeah the young QBs of the NFL do struggle, but you also see flashes of solid play sprinkled in their game as well. Guys like Leftwich, Palmer and Manning...they may struggle at times, but they at least demonstrate a grasp of the game and show what they will be capable of in the future. Hell, even Losman and Phillip Rivers have shown flashes of being good QBs and they've hardly played. Boller has not shown anything...ANYTHING that makes me think he will be a solid NFL starter. His play has ranged from "average" to "pathetic" in his career and I see no signs of him getting better.

Like A Mofo
As much as I hate the Ravens and love the Bills, I have to say I see why people would be high on Baltimore: 1st reason is last year their schedule was BRUTAL....it cannot be any worse this year. They added Samari Rolle and they finally have a #1 receiver in Mason, which can only help the QB. But I do agree with Rich that the Ravens should be questioned more because of their QB. Ill say this though: What concerns me the most about the Bills is the OL. especially LT. Now if the Bills OL turns into a solid unit across the board, then I can see the Bills making a big run. MDH
Boller is 2 games above .500 as a starter. This with one of the best O-lines, running games, and D's in the league. That's just pathetic. In that situation all you have to do is no !@#$ up and your team wins, but Boller can't even manage that. The "inexperienced" excuse is gone now, he's started 25+ games for the Ravens. The guy needs to produce now or he'll end up a career backup.
NJ_BillsFan
Bolder is a huge disappointment. If you remember, before he was drafted, his agent set up a camera of him knelling at the 50 yd line and throwing the ball thru the uprights. Well, good for the Ravens drafting a guy. Too bad this game has nothing to do with knelling with no defense in your face and throwing the ball through a huge target like the field goal posts. Boller has arm strength but is a scrub. Every year he gets worse and worse. He has little to no confidence. His arm strength is there, but his decision making and accuracy are horrible. The Ravens are very similar to the Bills. We both have QBs that don't need to win the game for us. They need to not mess up. It seems JP is doing much better than Boller is. Boller threw an INT on his first pass of the preseason. You would think that would have been on Boller's mind and he would try to do better this past week. Who works hard during the offseason to throw an INT on their first pass? This pass week he sucked! 2 INTS! I know its the preseason, but to think Boller is better than Losman is riidiculous. Experience is not a factor. Boller is proven garbage and Losman hasn't proved anything. SO far he's doing what the Bills need him to do. I only wish he would slide more and not try to be Jerome Bettis out there. A NewEngland Lovefest and A "Must hate the rookie" diatribe. Finally, we are getting close to real games where the "experts" will shut up and history will be the judge. Of course, my complaint is, why prognosticate at all if all one does is predict a continuance of the past (in my field, meteorology, this is called "persistence".) Pick New England until they ose? THAT is NOT a prediction. Especially when worded that way, As to JP -I, too, have seen what I have wanted to see (no glassy-eyed expectations o.k.?). And that is - a gradual improvement in his play and an indication that he is learning from his mistakes. I agree that he needs to slide more. I think that will come - hopefully not too late! Last Sunday, JP, Mularkey, Wyche and some Green Bay players stated that thedefense was designed for maximum pass protection and that the QB scramble was freely given. JP took advantage of this. One would prefer he not run in preseason but we have to be realistic about this -JP's legs ARE part of the Bills offensive game plan. If a team is giving JP tons of room to run, he should take it. But, yes, slide a bit ay kid huh? -RnJ

If you had to pick one "new" division winner this year in the AFC, wouldn't it be them? With all of the injuries they had last year (J. Lewis, Heap, Ogden) and the Steelers inevitable drop this year... I think they might be the Patriots's biggest obstacle this year.
ch19079
i think the ravens defense is really the best in the NFL. and with there RB, TE, and new WRs, there offense CAN be good. the only problem is that boller is not that good. the bills have a very good D, but not as good as the ravens. we have better WRs, but they got us beat at TE, and RB. (i REALLY like McGahee, but Lewis is still better untill McGahee gets his 1800 yards in a season). and then there is JP. noone knows. he could suck. he could be good. but in his first season as the starter, who knows. you have to expect problems. atleast boller has a few years under his belt. he MIGHT make fewer mistakes. (though i dont think so). i understand what they are saying. and see where its comming from.

Some have said that the reserve db's are a bit shaky - dunno. I suspect we'll have to wait and see if the defense has it's previous year's capability.
