EZC-Boston
They were playing at a bar I was at last night and I know I have heard of them but I have no idea what they sing or where I would have heard them before. Can anybody fill me in? Even better should I have forked over the $10 to check them out?

God, I actually used to like that song. In my defense, I was only five at the time.

Must have been a weird crowd.

IDBillzFan
Bay City Rollers are to the 70s what Menudo was to the 80s, what Backstreet Boys and NSync were to the 90s, and what NIN is to the 2000s. Bubble gum music.

Remember their short lived varitety show in the mid-70's? They were Scottish, and all wore garrish plaid suits, and bandanas... Lets' just put it this way, Nick Lowe's tribute ("American Squirm") was far better a song than they deserved!
aussiew
S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night.....Saturday Night....."Disco" type band from the 70's Great dancing song. High heels and a skirt that twirled. Aaaaaah Disco. What memories.
airhunter11
Am I the only one who gets flashbacks of Mike Myers as the Scottish father in "So I Married An Axe Murderer" singing this song through the house? Of course that was because the Bay City Rollers were from Scotland.

Britbillsfan
Were big when I was a kid. Got totally ripped off by their manager (alledgedly) who now lives in a big house and they, um, don't (although they soon could be living in The Big House). Was unaware they were still peddling their pre-teen twoddle (their fans were scarey, even way back then), can not be the original line up though. Two of them (lead singer and guitarist) are currently under investigation for supplying cocaine. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4606775.stm
