"McGahee's agent Drew Rosenhaus declined comment"

I know none of us WANT it to be true, but rarely does the AP make up a story unless that "source close to" is very close. The AP knows who the person is, it wasnt a prank call, they are simply saying they promised this person, who they know is close to Willis, that they would keep it anonymous.

Another bad thing is "McGahee's agent Drew Rosenhaus declined comment". If this was so far fetched, why would his agent not just squash the rumor so as to avoid his client being uncomfortable.

This doesnt look good right now.

BUT, it could be worse... we always have Travis  (What a great move two drafts ago TD... we now have all the leverage in the world).

And by the way, if he does get traded, his Jersey that I paid $80 for will now forever become my "dirty towel"...

What i worried is that it's rosenhaus making the comments not McGahee. That POS.

Have a couple of those things in your avatar and you'll be fine. ;)

Err...maybe Rosenhaus doesn't comment until he has a chance to speak to his clients? He has more than one you know, perhaps he hasn't spoken to Willis about this so he chooses not to say anything? Smart move by an agent, you don't want to say something that might tick off your client.

You know, Travis Henry is close to WM....

I could certainly understand McGhee saying "I want to start". I suppose there are, what, 80 players in camp today that may well say the same thing.

Sounds like something taken out of context...

This is a win win situation, We'll likely  be able to get a first rounder for EITHER of these guys.

You're right - after all, no one knows the Bills are trying to get rid of one of them... and both of them bitching is sure to send their trade value skyrocketing!!

I'm reading the stories...and it looks like everybody is copying each other...if Pro Football is the original source...then this is BS. If anybody said anything...I have my money on the agent.

I still think we keep both of them even going into next year... hear me out...

If we trade one of them, the other one will have all the leverage in the world to hold out of camp next year and try to force a re-negotiation of his contract... if we have both of them, neither one will hold out... remember what happened to Duce Staley when he held out with a year still left on his contract? Duce screwed himself because they could afford to let him sit... if either one of these two try to pull that crap (more likely Henry since he has one yr left after this year), we can let him sit because we still have the other one and who cares if one wants to hold out.

If we trade McGahee, Travis can easily hold out for a TON of money next year... and if we trade Travis, Willis can either try to make his money with incentives or hold out and re-negotiate his contract without most $ coming in incentives... I'm guess he would hold out for a new contract, one without so many incentives.

just some thoughts... I'm probably missing some things and I'm sure you people will point them out to me... so let's hear it...

For what it's worth, I agree with you. Easy to dismiss pft, but I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss an AP report the same way. I'm not saying it's true, but AP writers aren't exactly on par with the National Enquirer.

You're missing the good news in all of this:  If McGahee is able to put his foot that far into his mouth, his knee's GOT to be feeling better.
