I have been watching all week- great shows- If you go outside now and look northeast you will see some meteors and it wills only get better! Look to the Northeast late night tonight- look for Mars(which is beautiful and hypnotic-brightest light in the sky)- heres the map for best viewing- http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2005/im...kymap_north.gif

I looked into it; various time quoted depending where you call home on this globe. Good call - I've a small amount of light pollution where I sit, and it's a steamy night but I'll hope to get a look-see. These events are awe-inspiring. How folks can look to the heaven's magnificent occurances and declare we are nothing but a random collection of aimless nitrogen, carbon, and oxygen escapes me. That's a coldness in large contrast to the warmth I see exchanged by people on a daily basis. Pete - I really appreciate the "heads up", sorry; a pun unavoidable. I hope from your vantage, you get a good show. Funny how they seem to make a slight rise, before they tumble downward.
clumping platelets Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 If it's 0400 Friday morning.....I'm at Millard Suburban and we cannot see any stars let alone any meteors If it's supoosed to happen 0400 Saturday morning, maybe I'll check it out on my night off
