IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 In this league you need difference makers. Name the Bills that are Top 5 in the league at their position. Lawyer Milloy- Maybe Takeo Spikes- Maybe Brian Moorman- yes No one else is. Sorry. Travis- Top 10-15 Eric Moulds- Top 10-20 Pat Williams- Too many good DT's in the league. No one on the Offensive line. Good Teams have players in this category.
billsfanone Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Run the same list for each and every team in the NFL, and it'll look about the same #s wise.
Thailog80 Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Spikes maybe? I think not.....He's no doubt top five material.
Rico Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Run the same list for each and every team in the NFL, and it'll look about the same #s wise. 28335 Except for the Ravens... too bad they don't have a QB, they're loaded with difference makers otherwise.

Ty Law- Best corner Richard Seymour- Top DE Tom Brady- Top 5 QB. Best Coach in the game Colts- Manning- Best QB Harrison- Best WR Vanderjack- Best Kicker Freeney- Top 5 DE Eagles McNabb- Top5 QB Owens- Top 5 WR Kearse- Top 5 DE These teams have clear cut Top 5 talent. We do not!

The Bills don't have playmakers or difference makers, whatever you want to call them. This blame is clearly on the shoulders of poor management and horrible performance in April on draft day! Too many stupid trades etc. on draft day.
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 Spikes maybe? I think not.....He's no doubt top five material. 28339 Really think so. Ray Lewis Derrick Brooks Lavar Arrington Brian Urlacher Willie McGinnest Keith Bullack Zach Thomas
YOOOOOO Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Really think so. Ray Lewis Derrick Brooks Lavar Arrington Brian Urlacher Willie McGinnest Keith Bullack Zach Thomas 28350 I think Spikes is better then Arrington, McGinnest, Thomas and bout the same level as Urlacher and Bullack.....
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 Really think so. Ray Lewis Derrick Brooks Lavar Arrington Brian Urlacher Willie McGinnest Keith Bullack Zach Thomas 28350 And maybe means it is close but these guys are also close. How many ints and sacks does Takeo have in the past few years? Tackles- He is a tackling machine.
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 I think Spikes is better then Arrington, McGinnest, Thomas and bout the same level as Urlacher and Bullack..... 28355 Which would put him in the Top 5 area. Not top 5 for sure. I am sure I am missing a few guys here as well.
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 bottom line is we do not have enough talent.
Guest Guest Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Really think so. Ray Lewis Derrick Brooks Lavar Arrington Brian Urlacher Willie McGinnest Keith Bullack Zach Thomas 28350 How about: Terrell Suggs Joey Porter Kendrell Bell Al Wilson Nick Barnett Keith Brooking
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 How about: Terrell Suggs Joey Porter Kendrell Bell Al Wilson Nick Barnett Keith Brooking 28361 Exactly- Hence the maybe.

We do not! So you have 3 DE's and 3 QBs listed right there. Where does this leave Vick, Cullpepper, McNair and Favre? If Kearse, Freeney and seymore are 3 of the top 5 DE's, where do strahan, Rice, Ogunleye, Taylor and Peppers fit in?

No way.. I could list a ton of players on the Colts and Pats that are close to this. I look at the guys I listed and they are solid top 5 players. The Bills do not have enough talented players. They have a lot of nice players. A lot of 10-20 range players. But at the end of the day we do not get it done because we lack playmakers. Question- Longest offensive play of the day today? 27 yards. When the Bills were on Defense during the last drive- Who were you looking to make a play? I had no one in mind. I could think of no one that would step up

Jerry Sullivan is right. We over-rate the talent on this team and every year walk away without the playoffs and without a winning season. Why is that. Is it because we are loaded with talent? Ahhh No.
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 What bothers me most is that I am agreeing with Jerry Sullivan!

Take the Jags for example, to start a franchise tomorrow, I would probably take John Henderson, Marcus Stroud, and Donovin Darius before I took anybody on the Bills.
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 How about: Terrell Suggs Joey Porter Kendrell Bell Al Wilson Nick Barnett Keith Brooking 28361 We forgot Julian Peterson
IndyJay1234 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 We forgot Julian Peterson 28372 I just looked and Fox Sports put together a Top 100 players in the NFL 4 days ago. 52) Takeo Spikes 86) Travis Henry That is all. Our best player is 52th best in the league. The Colts and Pats have 3 players ahead of our best player and both the Pats and the Colts have 2 players in the top 15.
