YOOOOOO Posted August 7, 2005 Share Posted August 7, 2005 First let me say that I think the Bills are going to pretty dominate this year and aslong as JP Losman can be average to above...were gonna be fine... But i gotta take this post Off Topic cause i need some help.... Well I'm 25 and for the first time since I turned 21, I'm dating a girl under 21(she's 19)..... I like this girl and we have alot of fun together....but I'm having trouble finding things we could do together, especially on weekends....See with my other girls in the past, on weekends we'd go hit up the local bars with some of my friends, drink and have a good time...HELL, cant even go to Atlantic City and gamble for a weekend, With her being 19 we cant do any of this.... Even when we go to a Restaurant for dinner, i gotta drink soda or water, cuz i feel it be wrong to drink in front of her when she cant..... We go to dinner, movies, beach, billiards, bowling(she hates bowling...LoL), chill in my apt watching DVD's on the weekdays, etc......she's not into sports at all but oddly like to go the Golfing range and hit some balls.....but my problem is when it comes to the weekend...if there are no party's to go to....I really dont know what or were to bring her to have a good time.... I mean, you could spend time with her during the week, but then have at least one weekend night where you know its just you and your boys. I loved that when my girl was 20, but now that she is 21, it IS a lot of fun to go out with her. Having said that: I would not feel "wrong" about drinking in front of her even if she can't. Just don't get wasted. You can get a little buzz going and have a great time. If she really has a problem with you wanting to throw back a beer or two when you go out to eat, then she's not being fair, IMO. And why not throw parties or go to parties so she can drink there? Gambling the same. Mostly today they don't tie things with alchohol... The beer gardens, areas, what-not are usaully kept separate from other activities. What is 2 years? Ramius Posted August 7, 2005 Share Posted August 7, 2005 Well, i am in a similar situation (23 dating a 19 yr old) but i havent had any problems with the whole drinking thing...first off, we have a ton of fun without drinking, as theres a ton of stuff to do anywhere without alcohol...secondly, it helps being in a college town, so if she does want to drink, there are always places we can go... When we are out/doing something, i can grab a beer or 2 and not feel guilty...it all comes down to what an above poster said about separating drinking from fun...drinking is a ton of fun, and the source of a lot of fun, but if you NEED it to have fun and shes keeping that from you then you have to take a look at some things... I'm 25 myself and find 99% of college girls to be downright annoying as hell now. Either she is very mature for her age or you're very immature for yours. Just remember you two should be in different stages of your lives. I have a few friends who have went the divorce and pick a younger generation route....a majority really struggle with it after the mid-life crisis/joy of unhibited sex with a young, firm body part is over....in most cases it would have been a lot less expensive just to buy a Porsche or classic Corvette... Skip Caray (announcer for the Braves) has a great line when the Braves have an afternoon weekday game. Skip says..."I see a lot of older guys have brought their nieces to today's game."
