freester Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Moulds has a large cap number and may be gone after this season. Philly may have to sweeten the deal with a draft pick.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Nope. Roscoe Parrish isnt ready (or big enough) to be a starting WR. He may eventually learn the tricks of the trade and work his way into the starting lineup with some experience (See: Steve Smith), but right now trading Moulds would really hurt Losman's progression. Having a veteran like him catching passes will make the JP Era get started a little more smoothly. IMHO, we could get Simon for our 2nd rounder and Josh Reed. They were willing to part with him for a 2nd and a 3rd rounder back in April, and now with Pinkston gone they need some help. Reed has talent, and may just need a change of scenery. I think it would be a good trade for both sides. Too bad it wont get done because Simon has outrageous contract demands.
JAMIEBUF12 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 nope! lee evans is good but he is not good enough to be a #1 without a mould yet.if it was a year from now i would do it,but actually i'd rather see erick be a bill his whole career!go bills in"05
mis3384 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 NO....Moulds is a Bill for life. Trade for Simon?...YES....Trade Reed and a 3rd or 4th for him. Plus if we have a great D....NATE MIGHT WANT TO RESIGN FOR A BIT LESS MONEY....NOW THINK ABOUT THIS TEAMS FUTURE IF WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
Brandon Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 No. The Bills need the consistency on offense right now that a veteran like Moulds can provide. If they trade him, they take away a reliable target from JP Losman at a time when he needs someone he can rely on. If they're intent on sending them a WR, look no further than Josh Reed. He doesn't have much value in a trade, but of all of our WRs, I think he's the most likely to be involved if a trade were to occur. I don't think he makes this roster anyway, and if Donahoe can get a mid/late round pick (or the equivalent) for him, he'll probably take it instead of cutting him outright at the end of the preseason. And with Todd Pinkston's injury, the Eagles might just be willing to listen to an offer involving Reed.
jc707270 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Hell + No. I'll give em drew haddad, a forty a ol E, tone loc's greatest hits (including funky col medina) and a large philly cheese steak with some tap water!
TheMadCap Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Absolutely not. Not a chance. Not even close. Not if you were Sugar Ray Leonard...
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 HELL NO!!!!!!!! Our offense has been bad enough, no reason to make it worse by trading our best wr.
/dev/null Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 OMFG TD is a fool for letting TH go for only a 3rd. we could have packaged our 2008 2nd, and Henry for Corey Simon, a 2010 3rd, and some Cheesesteak sandwiches. If we had a decent GM we might be able to get some Picklejuice outta the deal too
BuffaloRebound Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Absolutely not. Payback is a b*tch. Whatever they were offering for Travis or maybe a round higher because a DT is a little more valuable than a RB.
nfreeman Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 freester, I'm going to smack you in the mouth for that "idea".
boomerjamhead Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 I can't believe I was dumb enough to even check this thread out. Damn, I've been had again.
The Jokeman Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Moulds has a large cap number and may be gone after this season. Philly may have to sweeten the deal with a draft pick. 400075 Nope, Even though Simon might improve our D enough to make it the league's best, the loss of Moulds would hurt the offense far too much.
jarthur31 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Moulds has a large cap number and may be gone after this season. Philly may have to sweeten the deal with a draft pick. 400075 Are you serious? If it wasn't for Eric last year, do you think Lee would've had the year he did??
Dennis in NC Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 No. Simon does not seem like a "team" guy, more a me-guy. Moulds has a great attitude in a lot of areas (mentoring, blocking, etc.) No thanks. Now, get to bed, Freester!
