Check out this little (totally inaccurate) blurb from this weeks' Don Banks column:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ....rebirth/1.html

After the Browns had already released Jeff Garcia following his doomed one-year stint as the team's starting quarterback, it was Dilfer's unexpected availability via trade that prompted Savage and Crennel to let veteran QB Kelly Holcomb join Buffalo during free agency and deal second-year passer Luke McCown to Tampa Bay.

Ridiculous. The Browns dropped the ball on Holcomb and he bolted, prompting them to panic and trade for Trent Dilfer. Is Banks becoming a Browns' homer now? This guy's reporting has slipped steadily since he guaranteed Damien Woody to Buffalo.
