This guy Lorn is a friend of mine - aged 20 - who is the YOUNGEST EVER NFL PLAYER. He just got signed to Oaklands practise squad.... I've trained against Lorn for the past 2 seasons and he is now training with Warren Sapp and Ted Washington - IT IS HUGE. Keep your eyes peeled for a young Brit called Lorn Mayers - could be HUGE soon.

Seriously though, we'll keep an eye on him.
IDBillzFan
http://www.nfluk.com/news-display.php?id=1355he is now training with Warren Sapp and Ted Washington - IT IS HUGE. 390658 Great. So he'll be the youngest old, fat, trash-talking mouth of the Raiders. I hope he gets some time with Moss so he can learn when it's time to leave the field. (I'm kidding. I'm juuuussst kidding.) stuckincincy
Awright! I hope the lad does well. Lorn Mayers - I'll remember the name and pass on any news tidbits that come up.
Nanker
I love the domain name. It reads much better as a word than as initials... NFluk Yes. That's far better than N.F.L.U.K. Good luck to him. On a side note: If the Raydurs cut him, maybe TD will pick him up. Hey. We've heard of him!

We've heard of him! 391067 Well the story on Lorn is that he WILL NOT be cut this season, but sadly cannot be activated from the Practise Squad this year as his contract stands right now. He's only played in about 5 games of football in his life, so the Raiders won't be quick to activate him, but he's a great project for them. Art Shell picked out Lorn at National Player training camp for NFLE and has carried thru the interest in him, hence the Raiders have picked him up..... He's a monstor of a kid - aged 20, 345lbs 6'3. He hasn't been timed in the 40 but he's so fast off the line at DT, and is learning to use his hands and feet to good effect. If Warren Sapp and Ted Washington have patience they can mould an incredible player out of this British kid... I'm so happy for him. If ever he does get cut and picked up by the Bills - I'll consdier it the best piece of luck evere - he'll be able to sort me out with all the inside info and gear and stuff

Don't get me wrong - the kid is built up... he wobbles if you prod him, but not for long.

nick in* england
Raiders.com even has him allocated a jersey number now (79 - just like me!) Apparantly he's on the team - not the PS!

Apparantly he's on the team - not the PS! 391368 All players are on the roster for training camp then after the opening day roster of 53 is set whoever has been waived can be resigned to the practice squad, So from my understanding he could go to any other team's practice squad if the raiders waive him. TigerJ
The practice squad is not set until the final cuts are made. After the final cuts a team will hire back the players it wants for its practice squad, provided they have not been claimed off waivers by another team. Mark Vader
Myself and a bunch of other Bills fans will be at the game against Oakland. If Lorn Mayers is still with the Raiders, we'll be looking for him.
