Buftex
Well, ESPN radio is reporting the same thing. I don't doubt it as much as the rest of you, that it happened. I do doubt though, that either will be traded before next season. I have nothing against McGahee, or Travis, but I never liked this pick, and still don't. It could (and I say could) end up doing more bad for the team than good. If they are both good, likely both will be unhappy, and causing distractions all season. Why would anybody be surprised that neither would put the team before their own interests? That is the norm, not the exception, in sports theses days. No matter what happens, one of these guys is gone next year....

John from Riverside
One of them IS GOING TO BE TRADED.... But can we at least make it LOOK like we might keep them so we can get a little bit more for the back we trade?

Jukester
Do you guys actually think that McGahee would say something like this. Get real.
JoeF
Source = Drew Rosenhaus or someone who works for Rosenhaus. The Rosenhaus camp is trying to make out like a bandit on this deal....They want Miami to trade O-Gun to the Bills so he gets a new deal and wants Willis home in Miami where he gets more marketing/endorsement deals from which Drew gets more $'s than a contract.... stevestojan
sorry to say it guys, but most stories that end up being true DO start with "sources close to <whoever>". . . I'm not saying anything, but I wouldnt be surprised And, my McGahee Jersey would then be useless. Unless of course he became a Dolphin, at which point I could use it to burn in effegy
BillsNYC
I just looked on bb.com's message board. The mod there said the Bills contacted Willis and he denies all of this.
John from Riverside
We are NOT going to trade Magehee....... He is the future of the fricken team.....

I think their will only be one of these 2 on opening day and I just hope we get a solid Center in the trade
BuffaloBob
I have to agree with John on this one. I think their will only be one of these 2 on opening day and I just hope we get a solid Center in the trade 1228 There is NO WAY either of these guys is traded before the end of this season. Even if McGahee said this, which I seriously doubt, he hasn't proven diddly squat yet. The guy has scrimmaged and played a preseason game against mostly twos and threes on defense. Don't get me wrong, I like what he HAS shown but there is a big difference between toughing through an entire regular season (which Henry has now dones three times) and scrimmaging a couple of times against mostly back-ups. Moreover, even if there is some underlying truth to this whole exchange between either of these backs and the media (again which I seriously doubt), so freakin' what? So these guys are both competitive and both want to be the man. All that means is that we have two potential starting running backs who both want to be on the field. The only way for either to make that happen is to produce. I seriously doubt either of them are going to shut down and sulk on the bench. And if one gets seriously hurt, we have the other to fill in. Willis may be a star in the making, but he ain't one yet and from everything he has said that can be directly attributable to him, he KNOWS that. Thurmal34
Look guys, IMO this is nothing more than the AP picking up Florio's story. Even Willis himself has said he is comfortable spelling Henry, as recently as a few nights ago. The trouble is the media loves McGahee stories so chances are the slightest ripple will cause a tidal wave.
LancasterSteve
I don't understand how people can publish this unsubstantiated crap. 1143 They throw stevestojan at the wall (not this one ) and see if it sticks. I checked around and this is pure BS according to people in the know. In fact the one person got a chuckle when informed of Mcgahee's supposed coments. Went on to say it isn't surprising given that we have two damm good backs and some a-hole hack just wants to make a name by inventing bull given that there is one proven RB and another with a potentially huge upside. Conflict sells papers, always has and always will.
