realtruelove Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 The first time he was lucky that his knee touched before the receiver ripped it from his pansy grip. But later in the game, in a very crucial situation, he has the ball again ripped from his pansy grip. This guy is highly overrated, is not a sure tackler, and get beat in coverage all the time.

If Clements had any better coverage on the 4 and 15 play it would have been interference. It was just a hell of a play by Jimmy Smith.
jarthur31 Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Are you saying that if he had been any closer, they'd be wedded lovers? BTW, that 4th quarter TD should be blamed on TKO, Wire and Baker! All 3 could've knocked it down but chose not to.
BillnutinHouston Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Clements is an above average corner and a great athelete. Unfortunately, he needs to compete a bit harder and yes, he did get the ball pulled from him by Smith 2X today. On the long pass he should have just knocked the ball away instead of trying to catch it. Troy Vincent acknoweledged as much in the post game interview.

Clements has his head up his arse most of the time. Whenever he makes a tackle or breaks up a pass he acts like he just won the Super Bowl. You must be his father.

Maybe next time the other defensive players and the crowd gotta yell "KNOCK IT DOWN"...

Clements = Pansy 28316[/snapback] you know, i hate this response, but why don't you tell him so??? Nate Clements is not in any way a pansy, and i'll be damned if he's not in the top five players I would run my ass off to get away from if confronted in a dark alley........if anything the man is too much of a competitor, which is why he went for the pick (bad play)rather than the knock down) correct play,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Too much of a competitor??? If you make bad choices in crucial situations, bye bye. We don't need ignorant thugs on this team, we need heady, tough, clutch players. We have very few of those and Nate Clements is NOT one of them.

If anything it shows how stupid and selfish he is! A batted ball doesn't look as good as a game clinching interception. He is a mental midget!
