Dan Gross Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 They had a "farewell" charity dinner event/roast for him last year (his last public appearance)...I heard it was really nice... Scotty > La Forge RIP Jimmy
AJ1 Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Great character from a great show. Another mini-icon passes.
stuckincincy Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 (sigh) He gave it all he had. 386163 He canna give no more...
FanfromAlbany Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 "I know this ship like the back of my hand..." [Hits head on overhang] A great sight gag from a bad movie. Rest in Peace, Scotty.
Puhonix Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 So sad to see them all pasing away. RIP Scotty... Favorite moment... ST 4, when they're back in the 80s and Scotty tries to talk to the computer. The other person tells him to use the mouse: "Oh, of course..." Picks up mouse and speaks into it "Hello Computer."
Gavin in Va Beach Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 RIP Scotty. "Aye, and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon!"
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 God beamed him up... http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/07/20/o...n.ap/index.html 386143 I figured he'd be the next to go after Deforest Kelley. Nimoy's next, I'll wager. Jimmy Doohan was one of my favorites, though. Very underrated talent. Aside from playing Montgomery Scott, he did a lot of voice-overs in the original series as well...which nobody really ever caught on to as he was so good at using his voice and dialects.
Wacka Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 He's originally Canadian and was wounded on D-Day. The article said he was hit 6 times. One took off part of his finger, 4 were in his leg and one in the chest. The chest shot was stopped by his metal cigarette case.
Rubes Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Nimoy's next, I'll wager. 386206 Watch it, buddy. You're talking about a relative, you know.
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Watch it, buddy. You're talking about a relative, you know. 386220 You have pointy ears? Hey, everybody's got to go sometime, and Nimoy's getting up there in years. And frankly, the last few times I've seen him in public, he hasn't looked all that great.
Ghost of BiB Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 You have pointy ears? Hey, everybody's got to go sometime, and Nimoy's getting up there in years. And frankly, the last few times I've seen him in public, he hasn't looked all that great. 386227 But then again, neither do we.
stinky finger Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 RIP Scotty ....think the family knows to shop PriceLine for a headstone?

(Star Blechhh) Spock: Captain, the Klingons are attacking! Kirk: The Klingons! I'm going to the bathroom. Spock: The bathroom! I don't believe my ears! Kirk: I don't believe your ears either.
buckeyemike Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 RIP Scotty. He did get really big between the series and the movies. And I guess that's a kind way of putting it. Mike
