Of course. But last year counts in terms of how we measure performance this year, i think.

Exactly...and the #s for TA and JP are INCOMPLETE from last year to make

any assumptions about how they are going to perform this year.

PWs was a good player and gave 10 good years for us....It was time to move

on. Rather than commit a huge salary to a player who has been used up for

10 years, the bills chose to give their young and youthful defender a chance

Training camp will give a good indicator of how TA can perform.

OK - but do you agree it is too early to project him as the starter - per the CBS article? We just have no measure of his ability - so how anyone is able to predict he'll start seems far fetched. That's why I am predicting Ron Edwards starts.

Besides being raw, and just learning the pro game, and having four veterans (including two stars) playing ahead of him, the main reason that Anderson was not activated for all those games was that Bannan was playing both ways and was part of the offensive package and short yardage offense for most of the season. They could activate Bannan and save a roster spot for someone else. It did not mean that Anderson was playing so bad that he was #5 on the depth chart or they didn't want him in there. In fact, they said last year that he was very good in practices from the midway point on. Later in the season we weren't using Bannan nearly as much as all the starters were back, Tucker was playing guard and Jason Peters was in on a lot of short yardage plays as the extra TE.
