BRH Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Being here one of their hubs, my wife gets to enjoy their hospitality a few times each month. She holds the same opinion. Hard to think they won't be bankrupt this fall if fuel prices don't abate. 385539 The Delta Connection terminal in Cincy is the most godforsaken cattle ranch on earth. I cringe every time I have to have a layover there.
30dive Posted July 20, 2005 Author Posted July 20, 2005 You should try a bran muffin. That'll help the backup. Hey 30dive, I may be mistakened about this anymore, but if a plane leaves the gate and heads out within 15 minutes of its departure time...regardless of how long it sits there...it's considered an on-time departure. 385492 From what I was told yesterday, you are right! That said my 6 hour and 50 flight from Chicago to Richmond was in fact an On Time Departure. Well done United Another interesting tidbit the flight crew is paid their contract rate only when the wheels are up, otherwise they are paid (at United) $1.25 per hour. So yesterday the crew (not pilots) made a whopping $6.87 for the time we sat on the tarmac. They earned every cent!
