Hey 30dive, I may be mistakened about this anymore, but if a plane leaves the gate and heads out within 15 minutes of its departure time...regardless of how long it sits there...it's considered an on-time departure. 385492[/snapback] From what I was told yesterday, you are right! That said my 6 hour and 50 flight from Chicago to Richmond was in fact an On Time Departure. Well done United Another interesting tidbit the flight crew is paid their contract rate only when the wheels are up, otherwise they are paid (at United) $1.25 per hour.
