GG
Was Damion Shelton as open as he seemed on TV, or was there a DB trailing him? It looked like a great play call, but for some reason, DB didn't throw the ball to him, but you couldn't see the defensive backfield on TV. If Shelton was that open, and Drew was able to fake the rusher to jump that badly, there better have been a reason Drew didn't lob that ball when he was looking squarely at Shelton. PISSCHUNK
Totally agreee! Looked as if the play developed as planned but Drew didn't chunk it. Must have been a DB lurking, or at least I hope that is the case if he didn't throw it. Terrible replays or lack there of as we didn't see another angle nor did we see the Mike Williams holding call. Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
I thought I heard the announcers state Shelton was covered. I was watching the game on TV, but I think at that point, I was listening to audio on radio. Believe it was stated he wwas covered, but I thought same thing too watching on TV. Simon
I don't think he was as open as the camera's angle/zoom made it appear. But on the replay it looked like the safety was still late picking him and Drew had plenty of space to deliver the ball to the outside. I kind of assumed that the Bledsoe didn't let it go because the DE was square in the outside lane he wanted to throw through. Then by the time the guy cleared, the safety had recovered and closed on the slower Shelton.
