Ned Flanders Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 The article states: "The unofficial “legend” among long-time fans was that the number was not issued because it was reserved for the official team logo." Bills logo I just wish some more light was shed on the mystery: why number 31, and was 31 officially NOT issued because of the logo? Unless I missed it, and that's probably the case, Lynch does a poor job in explaining any significance of the logo. (Maybe it's like the Rolling Rock '33'? ) Mark VI? Rockpile? Buehler? Anyone?
