stevewin Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 songs about him/her? examples David Bowie "Blue Jean" and Neil Diamond "For Reverend Blue Jean" 379575 SRV played guitar on "Blue Jean" - not on "Forever in Blue Jeans" however
stevewin Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 BTW - the proliferation of great songs about a chick named "Jane" has always struck me Jane Says - Jane's Addiction Sweet Jane - Lou Reed Jane - BNL (Mary) Jane's Last Dance - Tom Petty Jane - Starship (well OK - not great - but good in an 80's nostalgia kind of way ) Honorable Mention - Janie's Got a Gun - Aerosmith
Dan Gross Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 songs about him/her? examples David Bowie "Blue Jean" and Neil Diamond "For Reverend Blue Jean" 379575 "Blue Jeans, I just met a girl in (not named ) blue jeans."
SouthernMan Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 songs about him/her? examples David Bowie "Blue Jean" and Neil Diamond "For Reverend Blue Jean" 379575 Add to that list David Essex's "Rock On" with the line, "blue jean baby queen, prettiest girl I ever seen. See her shake on the movie screen - Rock On"
Dan Gross Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Add to that list David Essex's "Rock On" with the line, "blue jean baby queen, prettiest girl I ever seen. See her shake on the movie screen - Rock On" 379611 Well, if you're going to go that far, how about Tiny Dancer by Elton John: "Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band"
stuckincincy Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 songs about him/her? examples David Bowie "Blue Jean" and Neil Diamond "For Reverend Blue Jean" 379575 Well, as to women, tight jeans accent their charms. So songs get written.
Dan Gross Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 songs about him/her? examples David Bowie "Blue Jean" and Neil Diamond "For Reverend Blue Jean" 379575 Oh, and BTW it's "Forever in Blue Jeans." TheMadCap Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 You forgot the ever popular "Ballad of Jane" by L.A. Guns....
SDS Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Well, the "Jane" in "Mary Jane's Last Dance" by TP is just coincedental...
HopsGuy Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Well, the "Jane" in "Mary Jane's Last Dance" by TP is just coincedental... 379653 But... but... but... Kim Basinger WAS Mary Jane! You mean that TP was somehow referencing marijuana? I'm shocked. SHOCKED, I SAY!
aussiew Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Well, as to women, tight jeans accent their charms. So songs get written. Hmmm. Sad that they don't acknowledge how good a guy looks in a pair of tight Wranglers.
stinky finger Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Hmmm. Sad that they don't acknowledge how good a guy looks in a pair of tight Wranglers. 379672 ......perhaps a "wrinkle" in the Wranglers, my lady?
stuckincincy Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Hmmm. Sad that they don't acknowledge how good a guy looks in a pair of tight Wranglers. 379672 I've not been so blessed - If I wore tight jeans I'd look like some sort of livestock precipitiously near death by bowel strangulation!
stevewin Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 And what about Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane"? 379839 #2 on my list
IDBillzFan Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Hmmm. Sad that they don't acknowledge how good a guy looks in a pair of tight Wranglers. 379672 Wranglers? You mean the poor man's Levis?
Beerball Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 songs about him/her? examples David Bowie "Blue Jean" and Neil Diamond "For Reverend Blue Jean" 379575 It's actually "Blue Gene". Poor guy can't get no relief. I have seen a reference to "Blew Gene" in song as well, though I can't recall the meaning.

aussiew Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Wranglers? You mean the poor man's Levis? Yep - who cares how poor they are if they look good in tight Wranglers?
