BillsFan Trapped in Pats Land Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I agree. People remember Michael Jordan's greatness with the Bulls, not his last futile season with the Wizzards. 376830[/snapback] Off topic but: That was not a bad season at all!! He averaged 37 MPG, 20 PPG, just over 6 boards and almost 4 assists. I would love that kind of futility on my Celtics. Unforunately, that team crapped the bed around him that year.
Mark Vader Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 I have a lot of respect for Tim Brown. I will never forget that play in the playoffs when he was tackled by Tasker. Very classy, sportsmanlike moment. You also have to admire Brown's loyalty to the Raiders. When his contract was up several years ago, he could have gone to any team that had a good chance of going to the Super Bowl. Instead he gave the Raiders every chance of giving him a new contract. He would make it to the Super Bowl a few years later, albeit in a losing cause, but he stuck it out with the team that originally drafted him. That is something you do not see much of these days. Yes he did play with the Bucs last year, but that was mainly because he still felt he had one more year in him, and the Raiders were'nt going to keep him on the team anymore.
