canadian bill Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 NASA World wind is better. It has alot more options and better photos.NASA World Wind 376834 Nasa world wind isn't optimized to use memory and processing power efficiently and it doesn't have that any advantages over google that would be worth losing performance for. Google is the future, World Wind is the past. Google maps can also be accessible from anywhere there is a internet connection no huge bulky program to download. Bungolo Bill

Dan Gross Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 now check out Google Moon http://moon.google.com/ zoom in all the way 386300 I hear they are getting ready to send something out to get detailed pictures of the moon...so close you can actually see all the crap we left there...something like 2M resolution.
Mediaman Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Cool images across the globe too, I saw mt vesuvious in naples. (Also the landmarks in rome are nice too look at) You can look into the crater and see the path that the tourists take to get up close. I did that a few years back its really amazing.

pkwwjd Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 it was said the NASA program is better, but the resolution in urban areas is significantly inferior, unless there is a way to download improved pics, ... anyone know anything about it?
