R. Rich Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Sad news. My wife is really broken up about this, as Luther is her favorite artist. She first heard about it in her car on the way home from work tonight. She cried her way home. Luther was a great artist, one I've had the pleasure of seeing in concert 8 times, including once in Buffalo. He will be missed.

BF_in_Indiana Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Not really a fan of his music, but he had a very distinct voice. RIP
kegtapr Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Yeah, he's no Dimebag Darryl but rest in peace anyways.
Fake-Fat Sunny Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 My lovely wife was also a Vandross fan. She stumbled upon one retrospective show about his career last night on TV and was wondering if any of the other stations like VH-1 or MTV will be doing something. I anyone has any links to schedules of Vandross retrospectives or schedules of them I would love to know. Thanks for any help or info.
boomerjamhead Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I forgot he was alive until today. Wow, sometimes we take people for granted I guess, and that sucks. Prayers to his family and his fans.
