Doesn't matter if they catch the Ball. Which was light years better last year then previous years. One catches fire and becomes a stud. Not like we had multiple first round picks. Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I've never been a big Keenan Allen guy....but I wonder if we have any interest? 1 Quote
Bag of Milk Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) I have always been an Elijah Moore fan. I think he has untapped potential because he has played with middling teams and had poor QB play. Get 'er done Beane! Edited 7 hours ago by Bag of Milk 1 1 Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Don’t buy all the bull#### they say in these press conferences they know they need more talent at that position. I personally think this guy has infinite potential. Would love to see him on the bills. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago SIGN HIM! I wanted us to try and trade for him when he was with the Jets before he went to Cleveland. This guy would have a lot of potential in this offense. He’s been in football purgatory stuck in two dumpster fire organizations with inept QBs. F5 F5 F5 2 3 1 Quote

He is more like Diggs as a player and kind of a slot guy. He’s a good route runner which is a skillset that we can use. He doesn’t check the vertical box that is like but certainly improves the WR room. With that speed, he sure as hell could check the vertical box. Same with Samuel. Quote

If we sign this guy, the exact same people moaning about not doing anything with the WR room and not getting a guy with speed will turn around and say this isn’t the guy. Its because they live in in a delusional world where Tee Higgins was going to be on the Bills this offseason. 1 1 Quote

The way Brady runs this offense it will probably be more about getting him the ball quickly and giving him space to run. i have not been able to stop replaying the third down play to cooper in the championship game. it was a perfect play call, they blocked it well, a screen to cooper and caught the chiefs attacking. Cooper should have been off and running, that would have put this team in the Super Bowl. instead he slipped, was slow to get going and karlaftis caught him from behind. If he got to the sideline clear there he is off and running for at least 40 yards. maybe a guy like Moore catches that and goes the distance. 1 1 Quote
Free Speech Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If the Bills draft a WR this probably doesn't happen. Beane clearly didn't think any of the available WRs were worth the draft capital, so this is what you do instead. Seems perfectly sensible to me. 4 2 Quote

Look at the numbers this team puts up with mediocre talent. We need some juice, praying they don’t let him leave the building. Quote

There is more to being a vertical, downfield receiver on the outside than speed. A bit part is getting off press and his short arms restrict him there. I think you can do some stuff with him vertically if you can get him in advantageous situations vs bracket zone coverages but he isn't going to be a consistent enough outside vertical guy to back teams off the line with any regularity. That isn't saying don't sign him. I like the idea. Just be realistic about what it is. 4 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This is the guy I called for during the draft. SPEED, youth and potential. This would be a great signing IMO. Has had trash QBs throwing him the ball his career. He could explode in this offense with Allen. 2 1 Quote

The scheme was excellent last year. the key to all of this was the dedication to improving the line and run blocking…which is a function of the line, tight ends and wr. hiring Aaron Kromer and making those changes was outstanding. i have been saying it all offseason but I believe this is the route they are headed with the defense, they added two new defensive line coaches, one who has had a lot of success and now they remade the defensive line room completely. i don’t think they will win as many games this year as last year, the schedule is incredibly difficult but they will be a better team in the playoffs for these changes. Of course this is barring season ending injuries. 1 Quote

Neither runs those routes though. Moore averaged 8.8 YPC last year. Gabe Davis is a much better field stretcher than Curtis Samuel. Curtis Samuel is much faster than Gabe Davis. I like Moore a lot as a player. He isn’t the perfect fit but he would be one of the best receivers on the team the moment he signs. Edited 6 hours ago by Kirby Jackson 3 Quote
NewEra Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago He’s the best of the rest atm- has speed. Loved him coming out of college. Quote

But his deep game is more digs, posts, and post corners, which to me is more in line with Josh's strengths. 3 Quote
gjv Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I liked Moore coming out of Mississippi. He's never had a decent quarterback at the Jets and Browns. Perhaps he could be the talented field stretcher the Bills have coveted. Quote
bearstobills Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It seems that some fans feel he intentionally ignored wide receiver. He did not. Look at their pre-draft visits, private workouts, etc. They knew there was a need. He also named two times during the draft where a WR was in play but picked right before their pick (my guesses; Kyle Williams in the 3rd and Tory Horton in the 5th). But he's not going to commit the cardinal sin of reaching. That's what they did with Elam and it was a disaster. I wanted a WR in the first 3 picks also. But a.) I trust Beane more than myself AND b.) Our defense sucked last year while our offense was elite. I'm glad Kyle Williams went off the board because they probably would have picked him. But there's a reason the draft room was celebrating with Landon Jackson. I'm excited about that guy (and so are they). A poster on this thread actually stated "I don't care how many points they scored last year." REALLY??!! That's like going to a restaurant and saying the food is great but you don't like the the cooking methods in the kitchen. Quote
