That right there should be talked about more. MVS was eating it up in New Orleans. Yet he was a scratch here pretty much every week? Buffalo is kind of weird. Diggs isn’t as crazy as we think

sub 50% catch percentage is bad no matter where you're getting thrown the ball imo.  He caught 2 of 9 targets here... i cant imagine people were clamoring to see more of him.

Agree with the first 3 paragraphs.  C'est la vie.

As to Palmer, I don't really buy it but there is some groundwork laid for me to be wrong.  Palmer apparently has great analytics, from what I've seen played almost always at X, and averaged over 15 yards/catch the last two seasons.  Him being just good enough to keep teams away from the Ravens/Texans game plan last year would be a huge help to the offense.  I'd be really suprised by a Jeudy-like breakout season, but I don't think we need that for Palmer to be a really impactful signing.

It's unlikely he gets many more targets than he got with the chargers tbh.  His impact will likely be as a downfield threat, a man beater, and blocking.

Hollins had 50, Cooper had 32, MVS had 9.  Thats only 91 targets.  I'd assume many of those go to Coleman, Kincaid, Shakir, and Samuel.  I'd say he's likely to get that 50-60 range.

I read it he can sign with any team at any amount before July 22. Some may say he'd be foolish to pass on signing for less than the tender but if he doesn't like the Browns QBs and feels can produce more here he might take less money in hopes to produce to earn bigger money down the road. At only 25 it makes sense as still could get a big pay day if has a career year.

I can't see how he wouldn't be excited by the Browns.  I mean, he has 5 quarterbacks throwing him the ball in Cleveland.  That's like a 1:1 QB-to-WR ratio.  He could see 300 targets!

how would you feel if we didnt draft a DT or a CB until the 7th?  Wake Up.

In 2023, 194 Week 1 starters — almost 28% — were drafted in the first round of their respective drafts. Another 143 starters, or roughly 20%, were drafted in the second round, and another 107, or about 15%, were taken in the third round. In other words, picks in the top three rounds made up nearly two-thirds of all NFL lineups in 2023. As expected, declining numbers of players selected in Round 4 (77), Round 5 (52), Round 6 (33) and Round 7 (18) reached the starting lineup.

Dude, look.  When you say we didn’t draft a WR and we did you are just factually wrong.  Simple.

Palmer was something like 6th in his ability to separate.  That's why we signed him.  We need ALL our receivers to be better at separation, we have sucked at it for awhile now.

Any update on Moore? Did he leave town?

If he's gone, can anyone check in Buffalo to see if Robert Meacham is still around?

My main takeaway from Elijah Moore being the post-draft vet WR they bring in for a visit is:

Either Amari Cooper really is cooked, or he's asking for too much money.

It seemed like he was a good locker room fit here, had moments where he was productive in big moments, and typically Beane wouldn't like the idea of having spent a 3rd round pick for only a partial season of work. You'd think if they still felt Cooper had anything in the tank and/or if his asking price was reasonable, they'd bring him back. The fact that they're not doing so speaks volumes.

As for Elijah Moore: Sure. Fine. Okay. Piling up replacement level journeymen WRs to put around Shakir and Coleman kinda seems to be their modus operandi these days. I'm sure he'll make a play or two some weeks and completely disappear other weeks, like any other guy in that group. It is what it is.

I've had the same questions about Cooper. He seemed like a fit for the locker room, and he made a few plays, but he did not get thrown to anywhere near as much as I'd expected. Do Josh or Brady not trust him? Does Cooper think that the Bills were not using him properly, or have his skills deteriorated, or is it a matter of money? Seems weird that he's not been on the radar.

I was given the same sales pitch about Deonte Harty before we signed him.  I also think Harty was 3rd (I think) in separation stats in 2021 that was his best season where he had 570 yards receiving.  There's a reason teams let these guys go.

Or did he just fully hit the wall last season and is just cooked now?  No matter what, it's puzzling.

I think I saw Meacham with  Bryant Johnson and George Siefert's ghost at a bar in the airport.

MVS was a weird case, but Poona Ford was even weirder.

Dude was GOOD good last year for the Rams and parlayed it into a fairly lucrative 3 year deal.

And it wasn't like the Bills were just overflowing with DT talent when Ford was unable to even get on the field here.

I think Allen and McD lock onto certain guys for different reasons and MVS missed checking the boxes for both guys. Not getting any production from Poona Ford was absolutely bonkers.

Allen is wildly talented but tends to live "off script" because of that he can kind of play favorites a bit and/or will force the ball into situations/players that aren't the best. This is something that has gotten much better over the years. His OTA presser he said that his offseason focus was being better pre snap, setting up blocking, and understanding what he is seeing, etc.

I suspect that a lot of this is a one hand washes the other type of situation. And I fully expect that this portion of his game takes a leap over the next few seasons.

8.8 YPC is ridiculously low for a 4.35 guy??  Maybe it's the way CLE used him?  4.35 speed is enticing though, can he run go routes? Big enough?

Who was tossing this guy the rock? You have to take this in context.

I was hoping we could sign him. But oh well. We are set at WR anyway and TE.

Keep in mind Davidson (TE) will be better this year!

Can't wait to see our D kick some butt baby!!!!!!!!!!!
