Uhh this is weird. This is the kind of stuff you get from David Tepper. Bringing up Josh Rosen? This regime has been so deliberate about avoiding public drama, I really don't understand the sudden heel turn.

I’d be annoyed to from Josh Allen to wr complaints to all the whinging over drafting Terrell Bernard …it’s always something new petty and dumb people are outraged about from folks who don’t know anything about talent evaluation. Bills fans are never happy ( granted we shouldn’t be til we win a superbowl but the whining is well beyond that)

Super unprofessional, but good to hear the WR conversation is getting to Beane’s ears. Be vigilant in upgrading the room now and going forward Beane.

I dont know how anyone watching towards the end of last year, the games against the Rams and Lions, saying you know what were lacking, a WR.  Scoring wasn't the problem.   I said before this stat stood out to me, we allowed the 5th worst completion percentage on defense, there were only 4 teams worse than us.   Not going to win championships being that bad on D.

Defense was pretty much intentionally handicapped for salary cap purposes.

Last years team played well beyond its talent base and likely surprised Beane and Co.

This year they got blue chip talent and upgraded talent at a bunch of different spots on defense

It’s one 2 minute conversation. Everyone has a bad day and after all these years it’s surprising he hasn’t gone off sooner.

This is a nothing burger

It doesn't matter if Beane is annoyed. Local talking heads are going to complain. You can't stoop to their level. Personally I find what he did completely ridiculous, and it has nothing to do with my feelngs on the WR discussion. There is zero upside to this stunt. If in October Beane is again making a desperate trade for a WR he will rightly have this segment thrown back in his face.

I find the wr obsession here and wgr odd and ignorant also.

All the people that wanted wr so bad were elated for giving up a third round pick for cooper last fall.  I hated it then and now.  I got crushed here for hating the cooper trade.

i hope they never do anything like that again.

White and sneaky joe have to get better and bring more to the table. They really act like it is fantasy football and it shows as very ignorant.

Mack Hollins wasn't the Bills leading receiver.  In fact he was 4th in yards and receptions.

Lead in TD this past season. I’ll have to take a closer look at this as well but I believe he was the guy in the Chiefs playoff loss also.

They are fine.  I think all of this was fine.

there are no bad guys here.

fans/wgr are frustrated because they believe the source of the bills not winning a championship is not having a high end “#1” wr and beane is frustrated that these same people have complained about him for years without realizing it’s about the team and they do have a plan here.

This thing is right on the verge of breaking through.  It’s going to be a tough season.

Jeremy and Joe -and add Capaccio- are puny, smug aholes who were always the last kid picked in neighborhood pick up games and sought revenge with the mightiest sword known to man, the pen. I pity WNYers who have to suffer with no quality sports shows.

I fully expect the morning show tomorrow to pout about not landing that stud #1 WR in this God awful WR draft - as if trading for a Hopkins, Adams, Cooper, and others in season are just impossible.

Called that.

Why does everyone have to pick a side like this and get so crazy.

I think it’s a joke that you called this a stunt… Can you be serious? If you were literally , as beane is, one of the top two or three people at his job, but not the number one person, and everyone continue to complain about how you could do a better job to your face you would not get frustrated? Especially when you literally did exactly what you needed to do to make your company more successful?

You have to remember these people are actual human beings and not just mythical figures or people in a computer game. People can only take so much criticism when they’re doing a great job without losing it.

If Beane really wanted to bring the heat he could have said “you the same guys that wanted Josh Rosen, and the Sabres to tank, correct?”

Polian was aggressive like that tho.  Nothing wrong with it.

But I appreciate him nonetheless.  No need to be hostile.  Media can comment however they like.

Can only deal with the same BS year after year and keep a lid on it for so long. Probably just the final straw that broke the camel's back or the drop that finally caused the cup to overflow.

The Panthers are 36-80 since Tepper took over, they literally havent had a winning season in 7 years.  I'd say this regime has a bit more of a leg to stand on when they are critical of people talking negatively about their team.

He was nicer than he had to be.  The team just wont 13 games, went to an AFC Championship, and they are getting criticized by morons who wanted to draft Lepoopy Johnson from South Arizone State because he ran a fast 40.  Meanwhile those same morons forget they just drafted a wideout in the 2nd round last year.   Spent money on Josh Palmer and brought in competition for the bottom on the WR depth chart in Shenault.   You can say they werent the right guys, but dont act like they havent made moves at wideout.

If I were him I'd just stop giving access.   At the end of the AFC Championship game people were complaining about the defense.   He drafts defense which anyone with trwo brain cells knew he was going to do, and then the complaints start about WR.    Do you guys remember what it was like to have a bad front office and coaching staff?  Like really bad not just in your mind.

I listened to it and it’s funny because I think both sides are correct. I do think that Jeremy wasn’t expecting that and the look on his face was a oh sh*t how do I calm this down.

He's on now and I have never seen/heard Brandon Beane so salty on an interview.  He is prickly about the WR/draft conversation.  Interesting interaction and not the usual Beane interview.

I haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but I think:

1. The Bills WR group is probably bottom 1/3 of the league on paper.  However, we can hope for improvement from Coleman year 2 and I think Samuel will contribute more if healthy.

2. The WR class was not great.

3. It’s a little over-the-top with the “WR Train” stuff.

i do wish they had taken a WR in the 4th, but I understand taking a shot on the giant Deone Walker.

Some fans want to hold the offense to a nearly impossible standard of having to score on almost every drive.   Yet in the playoffs were quick to blame an injury for a defensive failure year after year.   Personally Im tired of that excuse.   I look at how the Chiefs retooled their secondary after the 13 second game and it paid off for them.   The depth on defense has been a problem for a while now, especially in the secondary.  I see 6 guys drafted who hopefully will be here for 4 years on rookie contracts on defense that can grow together and get better.  My god look at what the Philly D did to KC in the superbowl.  KC got some junk tds at the end, other than that they pretty much shut them down.   And wasnt the Philly D pretty abysmal just a few years ago.
