Brandon Beane on WGR

If the Bills D improves, or at least shows up in the playoffs, and the O keeps its balance, then he'll be vindicated.

 

OTOH, if the D disappears in the playoffs right on schedule, and the O takes a step back, you have to wonder if his seat gets warm

The Bills have put a TON of resources into the Def. Even years they were dominants they get worked in the playoffs. I would be uncomfortable too if I were Beane in this spot. He is no longer in control of the narrative and he no longer get credit for drafting Josh.

KC didn’t beat us because were lacking an additional wide receiver… They beat us because our defense was a sieve and our CB  couldn’t keep up with them or line get to them . Look how they performed against every other team in the playoffs except us. The defense was the problem, not the offense.

I’m not sure how good they will be, but they are better than sports talk radio in Buffalo. When I come back for a game my rental car is often on WGR. I can only take so much of that.

Frankly the narrative about wrs is idiotic and I am glad beane unloaded on those guys.

The mighty Chiefs offense scored more than 30 points exactly once last year, and it was against us.

I'm not a fan of the 2 morning show guys on WGR so I rarely listen until later on but there are plenty of us who think it's criminal how bad this WR group is compared to the rest of the league. I do not care how many points they put up during the season, in the playoffs aside from the Broncos game Josh Allen put up 127 yards passing with 0 TD, 0 INT and against the Chiefs he had 237 yards 2 TD 0 INT. What is the problem with this staff getting a top notch WR for our unicorn? In no way should Mack Hollins be your leading WR. I have no problem at all with them questioning the WR position, the way Beane came at them for expressing their opinion was unwarranted. How is this anything like the Josh Rosen/Josh Allen situation? I've been saying for a little bit now that I'm down on Beane, I thought he had a solid defensive draft but again has glossed over the WR position but I didn't say anything because I was hoping maybe they could make a trade after the draft was over and hoping they still will.

I think this whole argument depends on whether you think the players or the scheme are the biggest problem. If you think it's the players then sure it makes sense to draft nothing but defense. If you think it's more the scheme (which I tend to) it's frustrating watching us pour assets down a black hole when we see our pass catchers get exposed in the biggest game of the year every season.

I find the wr obsession here and wgr odd and ignorant also.

 

All the people that wanted wr so bad were elated for giving up a third round pick for cooper last fall.  I hated it then and now.  I got crushed here for hating the cooper trade.

 

i hope they never do anything like that again.

Mack Hollins wasn't the Bills leading receiver.  In fact he was 4th in yards and receptions.

Totally agree, a 3rd for one season of Amari was not worth it.

maybe Beane just had a bad morning and listening to White set him off?  He is human like the rest of us
