thenorthremembers Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I think the Colts, Titans, Raiders, Browns, Falcons, Patriots, Cardinals, Chargers, and 49ers are all worse or at the very least debatable. That said, the Bills have one equalizer when it comes to WR depth. Josh Allen. Seattle, New Orleans, Carolina, Chicago, Giants, Jaguars, Steelers, and Jets all have better wideouts with QBs who havent shown an ability to get the ball to playmakers on a consistent basis. There is no sense to look at a WR depth chart and compare it without also checking to see if a team has both an offensive line and QB to maximize the depth. 1 1 Quote

No. No. This is a specific WR thread. No TE's allowed. Two overrated day two rookies, Myers, and Tucker are terrifying though. 1 Quote

I want to walk into a game playing an elite offense and see our defense completely frustrate them instead of the other way around. We do it against Tua. But his track record vs good teams is terrible. Maybe in 2025 it’s impossible to have an elite defense bc of the rules. It’s possible. But the Chiefs and Eagles had the two best defenses imo and they made the SB. And if there is anything I agree with regarding weapons it is - what if the league decides in 2025 - The Bills are not running on us. 7-8 guys in the box and man up those WRs and we look like we did against Baltimore and Houston early in the season. We are playing more great defenses this year than offenses. Those 2 games told Beane we needed a WR. So he can’t possibly feel like running back the same group hoping Keon and Kincaid make the jump and Palmer will replace Cooper is absolutely going to work. Or Samuel will be healthy. I hope this isn’t another miscalculation by the front office. So they should have a plan B - trade. But I’m excited about what this defense can be. The flip side is you can our offense put up better numbers against bad defenses as well. Off the top of my head, we had offensive drop offs against playoff teams. Quote

With that said he has had some of the worst QBs in the NFL so it might less him. Quote

Nihilarian Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports that the team is hosting free agent wideout Elijah Moore for a visit on Monday. Moore spent the last two seasons with the Browns and set a career high with 61 catches last season. The 2021 Jets second-round pick has 200 catches for 2,162 yards and nine touchdowns for his career. Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Jalen Virgil, KJ Hamler, Tyrell Shavers, Laviska Shenault, and Kaden Prather — the aforementioned seventh-rounder — are the current receivers in Buffalo. Did the offense score the most points per game in franchise history last year? You know what, I think they did! Cooper was obviously limited but still had some decent moments. Mack on the other hand did nothing but catch first downs or touchdowns. 31 receptions, 25 for first down, 6 for touchdowns. And this idea that they're just a "bonafide #1 WR" from getting over the hump is a little disingenuous. Especially when you see that they literally already tried that with Diggs and still didn't make it to the big one with him. In fact last season was the closest they've come to making the SB and it was without Diggs. 1 Quote

You're giving them too much credit. They thought that these were actually savvy moves at the time. 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Is there a weaker fan meltdown right now other than WR? Highest scoring team in the AFC reg season AND postseason. Most total points in the NFL. 16th best offense in NFL history. Numerous NFL offensive records - as a team and individuals. Numerous all time Bills records - as a team and individuals. Lost AFCCG to a team by allowing 32 points that didn't score 30 the entire season or postseason and was down 34-0 in 3rd quarter the next game. Better WR group heading into the season than the group our season ended with. Yet...non stop threads about WR after a draft where WR was a weak class and was best at DL and Corner, the 2 real weakest roster positions heading into the draft. Peak TSW off season form...congrats 1 2 Quote

No one wants excuses but at least an explanation for Kincaid and Coleman's struggles last year can be put on injuries. Based on what was said after the season it sounded like Kincaid maybe should've been shut down for the year. Hopefully they're both able to get right and have a great year. Quote

Consider that two teams with great/good QBs and great WRs but crappy OLs missed the playoffs in the AFC in 2024. They also didn't have particularly good defenses, either. Miami and Cincinatti put all their money into their QBs and WRs which has left the cupboard bare of talent for the rest of the team. The only team that seems to have beaten the cap restrictions enough to have a good QB, a great OL and great WRs alongside a good defense is the Eagles, but some day all those void years are going to have to be counted.
