BillsFan130 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago B to B Plus. Loved the focus on the defensive side. Just thought it was a bit of overkill on day 3. Would have preferred a speed receiver in round 4 or 5. But overall, solid draft and they addressed their biggest 4 needs with their first 4 picks Quote
TheWeatherMan Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I gave this draft a C and a B because the Bills drafted 18 CBs 2 Quote
ddaryl Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I need a season to evaluate and form any sort of educated opinion as always I like the potential oh Hairston, gonna be fun to see him break on the ball. The DL is a wait and see... how are they going to make an impact, or is it more of the same. zow2 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Why is Howie Roseman of the Eagles and some others getting glazed all morning on TV for his fantastic defensive picks and not a peep about Buffalo. Quote
wjag Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I don't follow college football, so I really can't say I like or dislike a pick. What I wanted to see was a total focus on defense this time and that is what happened. I think receivers can be found in free agency. Drafting WRs never/rarely pan out in year one, imo, anyway. I would rather they get some utility guys. The receiver market has gone bonkers of late. I come from the school that OLINES and DLINES win games with a blue chip QB. The rest is plug and play. I like the emphasis of this draft. We'll see if it pans out. I gave them an uneducated "A". Quote
shane nelson Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago To me, it was an excellent meat and potato draft focussed on areas of need and the trenches. Nothing fancy, limited high risk selections. Clearly this is a team that needs additional components and not a roster overhaul. Excellent job. Quote
Bockeye Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Would have loved grabbing WR Keandre Lambert-Smith instead of Jackson Hawes in the 5th. Would have had to make a trade, but would have made the draft an A for me personally. Do like the emphasis on D….we need it. Quote
Pete Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I gave it a B. I like the D picks. But I don’t like our 4th pick. I’m disgusted we place zero value on WR. All I wanted was one WR for offense, the rest of picks could go to D. 1 Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago I gave a C because mcbeane neglected Josh. The 4th was the perfect time to grab a WR Instead the grab another DT The they finally have the gaul to throw Josh a bone in the 7th What were they thinking ? 1 1 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Well, the pundits seem to by and in large really like it overall. PayDaBill$ Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I see what and why they did what they did; it’s not rocket science opposing qbs are getting too much time and come 3rd down / getting off the field is an issue . The Bills sack rate and pressure rate fall below the league average. I believe they rank 21st in sacks and 19th in pressure rate. Pressure metric; The Bills' pressure rate is below average, they aren't consistently putting pressure on opposing QBs. Sack metric: The Bills' sack rate is also below average, indicating they aren't consistently getting to the quarterback for sacks. One other area of concern lingering from the regular season was their third-down defense. Only three teams (Carolina, Atlanta, Indianapolis) in the NFL were worse in the regular season than the Bills, We surely threw a lot of bodies at the problem (fa & draft). I’ll give it a solid B and stay tuned to see if it worked. Edited 13 minutes ago by PayDaBill$ 1 Quote

Yeah, I'd rather have a great blocking TE in there than the 6th O-lineman like we ran a lot last year. Gives us more options and keeps the opposition honest (unless it's KC of course...) Quote

By giving him half a billion dollars. but seriously, his contact eats up a big chunk of the cap; It is a zero sum game. They also spent significant cap on a wr in free agency. Quote
