Joe Marino Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) The secondary draftees will help for sure. The ultimate grade will all come down to how the linemen pan out.. For now, I gave it a B. Edited 8 hours ago by Joe Marino Quote
Doc Brown Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Good - addressed our two glaring weaknesses in the playoffs (D-line and CB) Bad - me having to listen to Bills fans freak out that we don't have a vertical threat WR until September. 4 1 1 Quote
Wizard Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago For Doc Brown: The Bills did not get a true vertical threat in the draft! I see this as a problem now and in September. 1 1 1 Quote
FireChans Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I gave it a B. I think they addressed most of the major areas on defense. Disappointed in offensive investment. Hopeful that the defense will finally figured it out in the playoffs against the Chiefs. Silver lining that if the defense sucks again with an entire offseason dedicated to McD’s defense, maybe his seat will get warm. 1 1 Quote
SCBills Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) It’s a monster Defensive Draft where Beane likely snaked a DT from both SF and then PHI by jumping them and taking Sanders & Walker. He read the board correctly both times. Love the double dip of Hairston and Strong. A playmaker corner and a perfect scheme fit guy. Landon Jackson is just a dude… high floor, high ceiling. Depth Safety/NCB to potentially beat out Cam Lewis. A+ grade for the Defensive side. On Offense, they probably asked Kromer who he liked at that spot and took him. Fine by me. Took arguably the best blocking TE in the Draft. Makes complete sense given the offense we run. Late flyer on a speed guy. Offense grade.. C- I don’t care what Beane says, or what fans try to convince themselves of. He knows, and we know, we need more at WR. A 7th Round throwaway pick to address that is the literal least he could do. A+ for the Defense and C- for the Offense = B+ Overall Edited 8 hours ago by SCBills 1 Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago The one thing that surprised me a bit as we didn't take anyone, looking at the roster, the position group that to me is the thinnest is LB 3 Quote

BullBuchanan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago B to B+ They addressed the one starting hole on the team which was CB2. They then added 3 high upside prospects to our defensive line which should massively upgrade the unit as a whole. My pitch all along is that the team is 4 stars away from being able to win a Super Bowl and my hope is that they'll have those pieces following next year's draft. If two of the top 4 hit, which I think they can, we'll be well on our way. Next year we need 1, maybe 2 safeties, a running back (probably), and potentially a pass catcher unless one of Palmer, Kincaid, or Coleman turns into a legitimate stud. I was really hoping for Skattebo this year as his angry running would have been a great complement to Cook, but we'll probably need more of a #1 guy in front of Davis next season assuming Cook is gone. 1 Quote
Senth Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Before this draft our defense was a C- after the draft we are a B. Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I for incomplete is the only correct answer. The draft ended like 5 hours ago. Quote
Don Otreply Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It appears that we got quality throughout this draft, hard to expect more than that, Quote
dgrochester55 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago A, I do not know enough about the players to criticize or praise them, but the positions filled and the types of players selected to fill them were logically sound. There are some valid arguments about how we could have selected WR, but I feel a lot better about Samuel, Coleman and Palmer that I did about our CB and Defensive line depth before today. 1 Quote
Greg S Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago B. Say one thing for Beane. He has gone all in to fix the defense with FA and the draft. Quote

Another injury to either Milano or Bernard where one of them is out for an extended period and we could be hurting big time. Maybe there’s a chance we snag an undrafted guy or sign someone over the summer, but we need another body in there for depth IMO. Quote
