BuffBills51 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Could coaches and management be looking at Tre moving to safety this season? He has lost a step due to injuries and would make sense why we didn’t add depth at safety. There has been a decent amount of players that have made the transition. 1 1 Quote

I suspect they try some corners at safety. Tre seems a likely candidate. 2 Quote

Virgil Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Hancock could be in play at safety. He's a Cam Lewis type 2 Quote

RyanC883 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Just terrible late round drafting. We need a safety. We also need a LB and took a CB right before Paul from Old Miss. Edited 10 hours ago by RyanC883 5 1 Quote

This gets asked all the time, the answer is always the same, Tre does NOT project at all as a safety. He does not do the "safety things" (physicality, tacking) well as a CB, absolutely not happening. Jordan Hancock does project at safety or slot corner. The Bills also have a full roster of safeties who are likely to make the 53. Edited 10 hours ago by Matt_In_NH 1 2 2 Quote
whorlnut Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) OP is complaining that the Bills didn’t take a safety. Haha. At least they took three corners for the defense crowd. I literally can’t believe that they keep talking about speedy receivers and took ZERO receivers. It might come back to haunt them. Edited 10 hours ago by whorlnut Quote
jwhit34 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The two UB guys, Lewis and Ingraham, are probably gone. Codrington too. Hancock and Strong in. With the 2 DL suspensions, they could still go 10 DL to start with and more DBs. Then when 2 suspended return, let 1 DL and 1 DB go. Of course, injuries could be a big factor, will be juggling roster by then. 1 Quote

Let’s see it play out. The consensus is this group - and it makes sense since we just had 2 elite groups - was going to be down. But it was deep on defense and we may have filled every significant hole we had - in addition to Bishop and Carter last season. I just sorted thru the WRs after round 1 going back to 2020. Yea, I’m not going to complain at all. Plus, WR could be addressed in season if there is a need via trade. If we even need to do that. 2026 Draft - WR, RB, LB, S. If things don’t go well this season. 1 Quote

As per Bills style they like the flexibility so makes sense. And Strong to compete at CB. Everyone has been saying Dane and Trey aren’t the answer. Time will tell, but I’m fine with depth. 1 Quote

Hancock likely to S. So sure they could be gone but not a lock. Heck of a lot of competition! 21 minutes ago, whorlnut said: OP is complaining that the Bills didn’t take a safety. Haha. They are taking guys they think have a chance to make the team. They might not but they feel they are better than any WR on the board. 1 Quote

This was already talked about on WGR and they told Sal they are not moving Tre to safety, kind of hard to move a poor tackler to safety anyhow. 1 Quote

JROC INTEL Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I have faith in Bishop. I think McD does a good job of not forcing young kids in. He will take a step forward this season. Quote
