I’d bring back Cooper for the right price. He was off last year but I know what he can do as a downfield threat and he’s a team first guy. Hopefully he doesn’t care about the 💰

What can he still do as a downfield threat?  Other than a a handful of catches last year, he was a non factor. Can't use the injury to excuse his entire stint with Buffalo.

I think I’ll use the injury as the excuse 😉. He’s proven to be a downfield threat and had his moments with some clutch catches last year. I don’t know why he wasn’t on the field all the time but if Brady and Josh want him back I’d welcome him with open arms.

My theory is, they expect Coleman to make a big jump this year and they have big plans for Kincaid. Coleman is 50/50 Imo to make a big jump. Kincaid needs to make an impact. Either way, we still have no true wr1 which scares me, regardless of how well this offense did last season

This offense will depend on both Coleman and Kincaid playing better than last season.  And frankly saying it's 50/50 to see that jump is accurate. I think the Cooper ship has sailed. He didn't establish the chemistry needed with Josh.  I think Josh trusts Shakir the most, but after him who knows?

Mack Hollins was signed by the Patriots buddy.

Give them six 1st rounds picks and I'm sure they'll let him go and throw in Diggs too!

Kincaid won’t change. He is what he is.  NOT the seem field stretcher we wanted

That's an understatement. Have we ever seen him do more than catch the ball, usually less than ten yards down the field, and immediately get tackled?

A vet is very possible.  He was beat out by Hollins down the stretch.  He does not block well, not sure if he is not interested in it.

Good luck with that. Buffalo should be looking for youth and speed at WR, not aging receivers on the downside of their careers.

100% but they don’t so here’s where we’re at. As Tez Johnson goes off the board. Probably the last realistic option for us since McD and Beane needs versatility with their late round WR picks and he’s a returner too 🙄

*how’d that work out with shorter over Nacua Beane

Quite honestly, the WR we need with the skillset that we need is not available in FA.  The guy we need is on a roster somewhere that we need to trade for.  If I have 1 major criticism of Beane is that he hasn't addressed the lack of speed in the WR room since Brown was here.  Sure, when Diggs arrived, he helped with that, but he was never a true burner.  We need a prime John Brown back in the offense.  Doesn't necessarily have to be a league wide star, but a piece to the puzzle that opens up all areas of the field because teams have to fear his speed.  But Beane will probably have go out, identify that guy, and swing a trade for him.  The problem is our cap situation is so restrictive hight now and getting anyone of good enough value might be kind of tough.

I don't know.....I guess I just wish we prioritized the WR position more than we have the last few years.  And not just the position, but the type and skillset of the WR.  Coleman is the highest we have picked a WR in forever and he is not even close to what I want in terms of skillset.  But it is what it is.  I just have a feeling that a few weeks into the season we are going to be in the same position as we were last year.  We'll play a few good games on offense coming out of the gate but as soon as the scheme is on tape, we'll struggle to push the ball down the field again because teams don't have to respect any of our WRs long speed down the field.  They'll move their safeties up and just clog everything up within 20-25 yards of the LOS and dare us to try and beat them over the top and we just wont have the horses to do it.  Hope I'm wrong and a guy like Shavers of KJ Hamler come out of nowhere and find a way to make an impact on the offense down the field.  Just not holding my breath.

What are the chances that we bring him back on a one year deal for similar money that TreDavious got?

When the ball hits your hands

you get boos from the stands

thats Amari…

when you can’t beat your guy

the fans turn their eyes

that's Amari

why? Has he ever produced?

If you're looking for a WR under 30 that has speed (4.34) and has produced, DJ Chark is one of the best options out there right now in Free Agency. And honestly looking over the list, there's only two actual options under 30 with speed: Chark and Elijah Moore.

And yes, if you take the 4 years that he was a starter and was healthy (2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023) - he averaged 685 yards. He was a Pro Bowler in 2019, where he went for 1008 yards and 8 TD's.

The outliers being his Rookie season (2018) where he didn't start a game, 2021 where he only appeared in 4 games because of a broken ankle he sustained, and last season where he started the year on IR and only appeared in 7 games down the stretch.

Moore is a 4.32 guy, 24 years old, and is coming off 538 yards last season and 640 the year before.

At the moment, I don't know of any WR's who would be vast upgrades over them that are reportedly available. I'm sure you'll point to some crazy names that you'd like to trade for. But I don't see a big trade as very likely (though I'd love to be wrong).

Much like last season, there isn't some sort of Superstar game changer out there Post Draft. You take the best fit that's available and if you're looking for speed and is someone that's done something in the league - that's Chark or Moore. I'd rather one of them be in Camp competing for the 5th spot than just Shavers, Prather, Shenault, and the rest of the UDFA and Practice Squad options.

if he is cheap, yeah, go and get him, of course.

He was in the Pro Bowl two seasons ago, having one of his best seasons in a much less than ideal situation oi Cleveland, with several different quarterbacks.

He may have hit the wall, but if so, that was extremely sudden, overnight. But more likely the injury that one doctor said should end his season last year caused the decline, and he missed many games.

He seemed to really appreciate the very different, positive team family concept of the Bills.  He is smart too, and clearly knows that Bills are one of the most likely teams to win it all this year.  I assume he would like to be part of that, has never been to the Super Bowl and his teams have not won many playoff games either.

Speed, has worked out with Josh in the offseason a couple of times.  Could get him cheap.
