It’s needed this since Tre blew out his knee, more so after the Achilles, and after Hyde hurt his neck. Was hoping for more from Douglas, unfortunately he was a short lived band aide. Keeping the secondary together for an unsuccessful run in 2023 put them in this position.

It does make me wonder if they have some concerns about Benford's health long term. I know they gave him the extension so I would assume all the medicals checked out well. But getting two concussions back to back like he did is no bueno. 

But maybe think of it as two corners and one safety that can back up the slot.  Seems very reasonable - safety and two corners.  The cupboard was very bare.

He has 37 concussions. Our luck is due to run out with him next season. I like picking another CB for sure.
